NNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! WE HAVEN'T DONE THE JOB!

Photo: REUTERS
Like most Israelis, I don't want a ceasefire until the job is done.  And what's the job?  The job is to destroy the Arab terrorists, destroy Amalek of the day.

Egyptian official says formal announcement of truce to be made shortly following Morsi, Clinton meeting in Cairo; sources say Israel will not lift Gaza blockade; IAF strikes, rocket fire continue amid cease-fire push. complete article
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was given the wrong name by his parents.  Or, with a name like Binyamin we shouldn't be surprised that he's acting like King Saul.
1 Samuel Chapter 9 שְׁמוּאֵל א

כא וַיַּעַן שָׁאוּל וַיֹּאמֶר, הֲלוֹא בֶן-יְמִינִי אָנֹכִי מִקַּטַנֵּי שִׁבְטֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, וּמִשְׁפַּחְתִּי הַצְּעִרָה, מִכָּל-מִשְׁפְּחוֹת שִׁבְטֵי בִנְיָמִן; וְלָמָּה דִּבַּרְתָּ אֵלַי, כַּדָּבָר הַזֶּה. {ס} 21 And Saul answered and said: 'Am not I a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? wherefore then speakest thou to me after this manner?' {S}

G-d deposed Saul, the Benjaminite, from kingship for not destroying the Philistine enemy.
1 Samuel Chapter 13

10 And it came to pass that, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt-offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.
יא וַיֹּאמֶר שְׁמוּאֵל, מֶה עָשִׂיתָ; וַיֹּאמֶר שָׁאוּל כִּי-רָאִיתִי כִי-נָפַץ הָעָם מֵעָלַי, וְאַתָּה לֹא-בָאתָ לְמוֹעֵד הַיָּמִים, וּפְלִשְׁתִּים, נֶאֱסָפִים מִכְמָשׂ. 11 And Samuel said: 'What hast thou done?' And Saul said: 'Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines assembled themselves together against Michmas;
יב וָאֹמַר, עַתָּה יֵרְדוּ פְלִשְׁתִּים אֵלַי הַגִּלְגָּל, וּפְנֵי יְהוָה, לֹא חִלִּיתִי; וָאֶתְאַפַּק, וָאַעֲלֶה הָעֹלָה. {ס} 12 therefore said I: Now will the Philistines come down upon me to Gilgal, and I have not entreated the favour of the LORD; I forced myself therefore, and offered the burnt-offering.' {S}
13 And Samuel said to Saul: 'Thou hast done foolishly; thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which He commanded thee; for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.
יד וְעַתָּה, מַמְלַכְתְּךָ לֹא-תָקוּם: בִּקֵּשׁ יְהוָה לוֹ אִישׁ כִּלְבָבוֹ, וַיְצַוֵּהוּ יְהוָה לְנָגִיד עַל-עַמּוֹ--כִּי לֹא שָׁמַרְתָּ, אֵת אֲשֶׁר-צִוְּךָ יְהוָה. {ס} 14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue; the LORD hath sought him a man after His own heart, and the LORD hath appointed him to be prince over His people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.' {S}

If only Benzion Netanyahu had named his second son David or Yoav, Asa'el or Avishai who weren't afraid to fight to the finish...

At least Bibi looks pretty unhappy in this video with Hillary, but he definitely doesn't look like the confident leader we need.  He looks like a whipped dog.

We all know much too well what happens after each of these ceasefires.  The Arabs use it to rebuild and reinforce the weapons against us.  Bibi speaks all over the world about the Iranian threat, which is serious, but the immediate threat to Israel is the Arab one from Gaza.  We must wipe them out!  We need a leader who is willing to do it. Actually, we need a leader!

That is why it is important to get real right-wing people into the Likud faction in the next Knesset and to assure that Ben-Ari and Eldad are also in the Knesset as right-wing opposition. I assume they will not be asked to be in the coalition. Those of you who vote in the Likud primaries, check carefully who you are voting for. We don't want to support the likes of Yisrael Katz, Dan Meridor, etc. people who supported the expulsion from Gaza in the first place. And Katz as Transport Minister has cancelled all road projects in Judea and Samaria for next year. He appoints all leftists to top positions in his ministry. Be sure that Moshe Feiglin is on your list and check out the rest carefully. Don't hesitate to ask people who are knowledgeable. In the general election be careful to vote for the party which will support Torah and Eretz Yisrael. You do not have to vote for the party in the general election that you are registered for in the primaries. No commissars have put hidden cameras in the voting booth.

Yes, Binyamin Netanyahu is the gilgul of Shaul HaMelekh. It is why he evacuated Migron. See Shmuel Aleph 14. He also could have been Shai lo. Gift to him, if he had passed the Migron test. He was back for his final tikkun and blew it.....again.

When Yehudah took Bibi down to Egypt as an Areiv to visit his brother Yosef, Yehudah taught us all to do teshuvah by offering to go into slavery on behalf of Yosef's full blood brother. So G-d at the end of days promised Yehudah to give Binyamin as a gift to him, Shai lo or Shilo before Yehudah's Messianic star would rise. Yahu natan Binyamin....But he blew it AGAIN!!! So who rises next?? Naftali Bennett????

Dov Bar-Leib said...

And just so that G-d could make it clear that Bibi is the gilgul of Shaul HaMelekh, the street in Tel Aviv with the bus bombing was.....

So in Chapter 13 of Shmuel Aleph, Shaul lost his dynasty, but kept his individual kingship. In chapter 14 when he was dawdling around Migron, his son, who would never be king, took on the entire Philistine garrison at Michmash. And in chapter 15 he lost the whole ball of wax. He was 0 for 3 over 2900 years ago. And 0 for whatever in our time. But what can we do? Jews want to lose their lives worshiping the avodah zarah of World Public Opinion, there is zilch that we can do to stop them except to pray to G-d that the inmates stop running the asylum. And I believe that in 5773, our prayers will be answered.

Naftali Bennett?? Nah that would be too easy.

Oh Batya, you missed a spot:

Shmuel Aleph 13:7 Some Hebrews even crossed the Yarden to the land of Gad and Gil'ad. Shaul was still in Gilgal, and all the people who remained hurried after him.

13:8 He waited seven days, for the time set by Shmuel; but Shmuel did not arrive at Gilgal, so the people began to disband from him.

13:9 (On the 8th day)So Shaul said: Bring me the Olah and the Peace Offering!!

What is that Bibi?? on the 8th day too??

I don't understand how Bibi become PM after giving away parts of Hebron and basically saying nothing until it was too late in 2005. If ever there was a conservative counterpart to the limousine liberal it is Bibi Netanyahu. I want to hit my head against a wall out of frustration when Jewish leaders repeat the same mistakes, miscalculations and appeasement year after year after year after year. We are where we are due to no-one having the koach to do the right thing. There is no peace and there will never be a peace of ANY KIND! until Hashem brings peace. Then you can be assured the job will finally be finished!

Goyish, Bibi chooses the kitchen cabinet and he has Barak, not the Right MK's. Forget Likud. We need a very strong and large and uncompromising Right opposition.

Dov, Naftali is already planning his cabinet seat, so he'd be in the noose. NO to NRP.

Moriah the problems with democracy is that idiots vote for idiots.

Batya, you continue to fail to comprehend that if you want to get rid of Bibi & Co., it can only be done from within.

Instead, you will have your MK ELdad, as good a man as he is, stomping his feet and gnashing his teeth in the useless (or, worse, compromising) opposition for another few years in the Knesset.

Whatever makes you happy.

The South is mostly Sephardi Likud voters. The Secular right is finished. It died with the bus bombing on Shaul HaMelekh Street in Tel Aviv and was buried 6 feet under when Bibi announced his terms of surrender. Naftali Bennett's numbers will now skyrocket. The South is not about to go for Shelly Yucky. The mechanics of Geulah at this stage are all derekh hateva. Bennett is a strange sense really grew up in Bibi's political palace. And he rebelled. He is also very charismatic and is keen on how to get secular support. Keep in mind how very odd it is that Divine Providence has placed both the Likud MK primaries and the General election immediately after this fiasco.

Bennett in a strange sense...

Sorry for the typo.

Dov Bar-Leib said...

Since Bibi is obviously Shaul, keep in mind who and what comes next. It is either David or Yehonatan Ben Shaul, who had the rei'ach of Mashiach ben Ephraim. The yichus of Mashiach ben Ephraim as opposed to Mashiach ben David is matrilinear even if his father in a Benyaminite. (Does Bennett qualify?? I don't know. Matrilinear yichus is very difficult to trace.) Follow the time timeline. Shaul caved in chapter 13 and lost his dynasty but remained king. Then in chapter 14 while dawdling around on a hill called....Migron, his son Yehonatan along with his armor bearer took on the entire Philistine garrison at Michmash with fearless faith in HaShem. (Right now there is a major Magavnick base where Migron used to be with about 600 men??) So rather than the sword of David, right now, who will unsheathe the sword of Yehonatan? Bibi seems to have access to neither.

Batya said...

Dov, the Biblical Yonatan pledged alliegience to David and gave up his chance of kingship which angered his father greatly.

Dov Bar-Leib said...

Yes, Yehonatan ben Shaul was one of our history's most tragic figures. His father lost the dynasty in chapter 13. Yet, Yehonatan proved that he could have made a great king in chapter 14. Yet, because of Shaul losing the dynasty in chapter 13, Yehonatan was destined to die (on Mt. Gilboa). I have been there and done the Gilboa tiyul. Yet, this is also the destiny of Mashiach ben Ephraim who according to Chazal will also be killed. See peirushim on Zecharia 12.

Dov Bar-Leib said...

ben Ephraim is the yachid over whom the House of David is mourning there in Zecharia 12.

Kol HaTor says that Mashiach ben Ephraim does not have to die if we have collective merit. So far while there might be amongst us great people of individual merit, our only collective merit is our intense suffering throughout history. We lost the collective merit through human decency way in Gush Katif seven years ago.

Batya said...

Yonatan did not want the kingship. He was a great fighter and loyal. There's no "Mashiach ben Ephraim."

Dov Bar-Leib said...

So besides where you live, who are what is Shilo? He or it has not yet come.

On the Mashiach ben Ephraim part we will have to agree to disagree. Zecharia 12 clearly refers to him according to our meforshim. And he fills so much of our medrashic literature. Yalkut Shimoni and Rav Chaim Vital etc. And the Torah itself points to the fact that there is one king from Leah and one king from Rachel. The Yosef vs. Yehudah dichotomy is discussed in depth in Rav Matis Weinberg's book on Chanukah. It is not so simple to discount Malkhut Yosef as an End of Days phenomenon. All of our meforshim say that Yosef or Ephraim is Sitno shel Esav at the End of Days. Only Yosef or Binyamin have koach against Amalek. not so simple. So we will have to agree to disagree on this.

I apologise for not being able to locate where I read it, but Batya and Dov you may both be correct? I recall one opinion that Mochiach Ben Yosef and Moschiach ben David might be the same person; just that different aspects of his soul will be revealed at different stages of the Moschaich process.

Dov Bar-Leib said...

I just should point out something regarding this in Rav Weinberg's book on Chanukah. One of the main points of his book is that Levi is the fusion of Yosef and Yehudah. The personality of Moshe Rabbeinu comes to mind. If it is possible for one person to be both, then the yichus would have to be patrilinearly from the side of David and matrilinearly from the side of Ephraim. Matrilinear descent is almost impossible to trace and often involves going through a man in previous generations. For instance Yehoshua Bin Nun is in the line for Mashiach ben Ephraim, and he proceeded to only give birth to daughters.

This is why Moshe Rabbeinu is often thought to be the soul of Mashiach since he is the quintessential non-Kohen from the Tribe of Levi (even though as the Psalm goes: "Moshe and Aharon are Kohanim" while none of Moshe's children are Kohanim.) Therefore the masculine/ feminine duality should be expressed in both the first and last name. The feminine side might, and I stress might, be expressed by Moshe's wife Tzipporah (or the Yiddish equivalent of that name.) I will leave it at that, for this is only a speculation.

Batya said...

It may not be our place to judge/compare Moshe versus David, but Moshe was not a willing leader, while David always took the initiative. That's a characteristic the Moshiach must have. There's no time for a committee meeting or for G-d to wake him/her up.

LondonMale said...

Thank you Dov, very interesting and I had not heard that before.

So since Feiglin means Tzipporah should we just call his wife Tzipporah Tzipporah? Wow what a night for Geulah from insanity. We have crossed a threshold for national sanity here in Eretz Yisrael. Say a L'Chaim and go to bed.
