It was interesting on El Al the night of Erev Yom Ha Shoah. They announced they wouldn't show any of the movies listed but special programming for Yom HaShoah. I was very pleased to see "Everything Shall Be Illuminated" written & directed by Liev Schreiber with Elijah Woods - an amazingly beautiful and poignant film. Then I woke up to see the end of "A Beautiful Life" about the Italian Jewish comedian who keeps his 5 year old son alive in the concentration camp by making up fantasy for him & reaching out to his wife in the women's camp. It is also beautiful & poignant.
My musings, reflections on life here in Shiloh, Israel. Original, personal, spiritual and political. Peace, security and Israeli sovereignty. El Al and Holocaust Memorial Day
A friend gave me permission to post her report. I'm not sure if she wanted her name used, but she did say that she's flown El Al over one hundred times!
