This is the season of Jerusalem walking tours. All over Jerusalem groups of Israelis can be seen being led to places of interest. Frequently, the tours are "in the steps" of famous Jerusalem personalities, writers, rabbis and historical figures. Sometimes, especially those geared to Israeli students, it will include a "treasure hunt," in which the participants must follow instructions and find various locations according to "hints."
These tours are very popular as "staff events" for groups of employees, students or just those who love a kinesthetic history lesson.
Generally, when it's an "end of the year staff event," it includes a dinner together. A couple of years ago I went on one of those tours. It was a lot of fun getting together out of the Teachers Room.
My musings, reflections on life here in Shiloh, Israel. Original, personal, spiritual and political. Peace, security and Israeli sovereignty. While not a "group blog," Shiloh Musings includes the voices of other Jews in The Land of Israel. **Copyright(C)BatyaMedad ** For permission to use these in publications of any sort, please contact me directly.
