Bibi's Anorexic Policies

Anorexia isn't just a matter of being too thin and bony. Anorexia can cause death.

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's policies and positions vis a vis the Pseudistinian Arabs, the "two state solution," "peace," etc has so reduced Jewish Israeli rights and security that "anorexic" is the only term I feel accurately describes it.

According to Bibi's latest speech, the Arabs must abide certain "conditions." But it's obvious that all they have to do is recite the the proper words, and "Abracadabra" they'll get what they want. And once they get it, they'll do just as they please, and they've been very up front about stating their plans to destroy Israel and banish the Jewish People from our ancient Homeland.

The Arabs haven't kept any previous agreements, so why should we believe them now? Bibi is the latest politician to have gotten us into very hot water...

Muse, did you listen to Feiglin yesterday on Arutz Sheva? Now, I personally don't like anything about Feiglin and G-d forbid he ever get's power in Israel, but his analysis of Bibi was dead on accurate. Bibi sold out Israel while giving the right the political bla bla they want to hear. I realize Bibi is for what ever reason either sold out to the US or they have something on him.

I was wondering to, that if the Israeli gov't gave the US the number 1 finger, how does that affect our weapon systems. The US may have us under lock and barrel.

Shiloh, shy, I just got back from the states and still have close to a thousand emails to sort through, delete and read, so I haven't read or heard all that much.

I do agree with Feiglin on policy, but not politics, the way to get and use power.

Bibi's sell-out isn't new. I wrote about/predicted it last summer after the jblogger convention.

It wasn't new last year either.

True, Shy, he hasn't changed his stripes at all. It's just that now he's lacking a David Bar Illan to try to keep him focused.

I wish people would listen and watch instead of wishing and hoping.

Now I am kind of embarassed to give my reaction to Netanyahu's speech:(

Provided he keeps his word the speech was excellent. How often have politicians--right and left--Israeli and US--given lip service to Israeli security and peace while promoting two-states?

Bibi threw it right back at them. He mentioned a Palestinian state blah blah blah with so many pre-conditions it is impossible for the Palestinians to comply hence no Palestinian state.

Could Bibi have gone on national and international TV ranting and raving like Joan Crawford screaming "No Palestinian State EVER" as Crawford screamed about "No Wire Hangers--EVER!" in Mommy Dearest? Sure.

But internationally he would have come across as a typical ranting Middle Eastern leader. And as PM he does have liberals in the Knesset he has to deal with.

Instead he was firm without being fanatical; reassuring without appearing passive.

The screen behind him and his podium were calm blue.

All things considered I think he did a great job, and it was nice to see him looking more relaxed, not like he had a gun to his head when he spoke with Obama.

What troubles me, though, is that before the speech he had border patrols tear down a little outpost fort or shed. I don't quite get the whole outpost situation. They're small little fort or club house like dwellings.

How are they a threat? But in light of Bibi's speech and talk about natural growth it seems odd that he would tear this little houses or forts down before his speech.

It seemed inconsistent with what he was saying.

keli, go with that feeling that something's wrong if Jews can't build. The speech is dangerous. Another step into the thorn bush.

That's right annonymous aka shyguy. The religious are going to get one big suprise, but they can't see the forest for the trees. I don't like what his web site said (of which they edited after it was pointed out during the election, therefore, he is snakelike the rest) and I don't agree with a halahic state based on the non-sensical of which he promotes, I believe like yourself. A Torah based state, based on Torah and not mitvoth of men is what I promote. Even the secular would want to be closer to following the Torah. Like being honest. Get the picture.

The Talmud states we will get the Mashiakh we never wanted.

You're as vague as a new testament "prophecy".

Let me get this straight. You pointed out to a religious organization something wrong with a statement on their website, they corrected/removed it and for accepting your suggestion you then call them "snakelike"?

Who's the one with the venomous fangs here?! Go learn Sefer Chafetz Haim, you grosse' tzadik!

and I don't agree with a halahic state based on the non-sensical of which he promotes

Manhigut Yehudit does NOT promote a halachic state at this time. What do you think you're going to do, mister? Hang/stone/burn/whip 70%-90% of our people for being presently non-observant?

I believe like yourself. A Torah based state, based on Torah and not mitvoth of men is what I promote. Even the secular would want to be closer to following the Torah. Like being honest. Get the picture.

Yes. Warped and distorted.
