Confusion in the Halls of Power

Last summer I was in the states during a good portion of that aimless, on the part of Israel, war between Israel and the Arabs to the north and south. Frequently I found myself cringing while watching the news and commentary, as the Israeli government seemed more and more confused and conflicted. It wasn't a proud time to be an Israeli.

Tzipi Livne, Israel's Foreign Minister, and according to all polls the most popular Kadima minister, seems totally infatuated with the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Rice is described by Dennis Ross as "confused," so what does that make Tzipi?

There's one lady who is definitely focused, and she's the Jerusalem Post's Caroline Glick. Read her latest, Our World: The next grand bargain.

The only problem with Caroline Glick is her insistence that Netanyahu is IT, the Leader that Israel needs. Bibi was the PM who gave half of Hevron to the Arabs, he was the Finance Minister in the Sharon Government who ravaged child allowances and budgeting for yeshivot and religious education. Most important, Bibi sat in Sharon's government and let the disengagement go on, resigning only when it was too late to make a difference.

You're right. Do you think she wants the position the late David Bar Ilan had?
