In the Teachers Room

I certainly can't tell you what's going on in the rest of the country, but lots of political talk has been heard in the Teachers Room where I work. One teacher is with Moshe Feiglin, and he's working hard. As you know, I'm not... working with Feiglin that is.

From looking at us, you'd think that we're all NRP, Mafdal. But don't go by the stereotype. There are lots of ideas and opinions.

Feiglin is making a valiant effort, but his underlying assumption that the Likud is the only super-party left to rule is now at risk. Granted that I do not believe the polls being fabricated by the media this week to support Sharon (who the hell is voting for Sharon and why?), the Likud has nevertheless been vilified, and will continue to be vilified since it 'has now took a sharp turn to the right'. The media was only 'Sharon friendly', not likud friendly over the past two years. We have such short memories.

Feiglin's claim that he wants to do what Peretz did does not hold water. Feiglin is a virtual likud newcomer [the media love to ignore], Peretz is a long time labourite who is the current media darling.

The question now is Marzel, or Marzel. But it's still too early, and in any case, we only depend on avinu bashamayim.

Not Merzel; he should join the Uchud Leumi, NU. No more small parties.

Muse: Did you go hear Feiglin last night in Shilo?

Question: Since the right wing + religious does not seem to have the needed majority, what harm do you see in trying to move the Likud rightward through Manhigut Yehudit? That seems to me to be the only option of trying to gain some sort of rightwing coalition again.

Jameel, no I didn't hear Feiglin. I really don't think that he can pull it off. It's like painting gangarene, with water colors, yet.

We must all go with National Union, including Feiglin.
