Human Rights, Civil Rights, Religious Rights, Willing to Die For Jewish Rights

During the British Mandate, they decided that the Arabs would be upset if Jews blew the shofar at the Kotel. Jews blew the shofar there before the British took over. The Arabs hadn't been stopping the Jews prior to British rule. I have no doubt that the British decided on the policy because of their antipathy to Jewish life in the Holy Land, not because of any pressure by the Arabs.

This movie tells the story of the young men, boys, teens who defied the British and risked their freedom to blow shofar at the end of the Yom Kippur fast. BTW, the first to have blown shofar was Rabbi Moshe Tzvi Segal, who ended up our neighbor in the Old City from 1970-71, when we lived in the Maon Betar on the corner of Rechov Hayehudim and Rechov Plugat HaKotel.

Ever ask yourself why during the 30 year period - between 1917 to 1947 - thousands of Jews throughout the world woke up one morning and decided to leave their homes and go to Palestine? The majority did this because they heard that a future national home for the Jewish people was being established in Palestine, on the basis of the League of Nations obligation under the “Mandate for Palestine” document. The “Mandate for Palestine,” an historical League of Nations document, laid down the Jewish legal right to settle anywhere in western Palestine, between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, an entitlement unaltered in international law. The “Mandate for Palestine” was not a naive vision briefly embraced by the international community. Fifty-one member countries – the entire League of Nations – unanimously declared on July 24, 1922:

“Whereas recognition has been given to the historical connection of the Jewish people with Palestine and to the grounds for reconstituting their national home in that country.”

It is important to point out that political rights to self-determination as a polity for Arabs were guaranteed by the same League of Nations in four other mandates – in Lebanon and Syria (The French Mandate), Iraq, and later Trans-Jordan [The British Mandate].

Any attempt to negate the Jewish people’s right to Palestine - Eretz-Israel, and to deny them access and control in the area designated for the Jewish people by the League of Nations is a serious infringement of international law.

Azriel, that's the point that our right to be here predates the modern State of Israel, and the "green line" was in effect less than nineteen years.

When these Arab Nations were formed, the Arabs objected to Israel, and no boundary was ever good enough for them. In the beginning the Arab countries warned the Arab's living inside Israel to get out while they annihilated Israel swiftly, and then they could return and own the land.

When that did not happen by YHVH Hand, they became the Palestinian refugee cause.Israel has had nothing but persecution, and condemnation because evil hates what is G-D's;The Arabs hate has no compromise. We saw this in Gaza. If the Arabs/ Palestinians laid down their weapons today, tomorrow there would be peace. If Israel laid down there weapons today, tomorrow there would be no Israel.Giving any land would be lethal to Israel.

Justice will only come by G-D,s Hand, and it will be favoured for His Chidren;Israel. It seems though to our leaders there doesn't even seem to be a question of giving away land, but only for the condition of peace? That is sad, because Israel's leaders will pay a heavy price for compromise. We can only know the ending of scripture, and know;Israel shall not fall again!, but shall reign eternal!Toda raba. I am glad you posted this, that you see the danger clearly. It has also weighed upon my heart. Many see this, and feel helpless, and can not understand, and remedy. It is not beyond His Hand. He will not fail us! Shabbat Shalom

Even prior to the state the Arabs attacked and murdered Jews.
