Simple Sequencing to Prove Jewish Rights to Temple Mount

photos by Batya Medad

It's all in the numbers. I just don't understand why the Jewish People, the Israeli Government etc don't just keep on publicizing a simple Time Line to easily prove that not only did we have our Holy Temples on the Temple Mount before the Muslims and Christians showed any interest in that particular piece of Land, but our Jewish connections to it also predate the inventions of their two religions.

Maybe that was a rather unwieldy disjointed run-on sentence, but it's the truth!

Is it because I'm a CPA's daughter that I see the simple numeric proof as the clearest, unencumbered by ideology and invented histories aka lies? I can't understand how anyone who looks objectively at history can think that the Muslims have a stronger claim on the Temple Mount than we Jews have.
JERUSALEM (AP) — Jewish and Muslim grassroots groups, self-declared defenders of their faiths, have played a key role in rising Israeli-Palestinian tensions, stepping up activities at a contested Jerusalem shrine at the heart of the current violence. Each side has accused the other of causing provocations, as religious activists become more organized. (Yahoo.news)
Early Jewish History is documented/recorded in the Bible, which gives the beginning/creation of the world as having happened 5776 years ago. Just a month ago we celebrated Rosh Hashanah the beginning of the Jewish Year. Judaism began about a thousand years later. That's about four thousand 4,000 years ago at least.
Jewish history (or the history of the Jewish people) is the history of theJews, and their religion and culture, as it developed and interacted with other peoples, religions and cultures. Although Judaism as a religion first appears in Greek records during the Hellenistic period and the earliest mention of Israel is inscribed on the Merneptah Stele dated 1213–1203 BCE, religious literature tells the story of Israelites going back at least as far as c. 1500 BCE. TheJewish diaspora began with the Assyrian conquest and continued on a much larger scale with the Babylonian conquest. Jews were also widespread throughout the Roman Empire, and this carried on to a lesser extent in the period of Byzantine rule in the central and eastern Mediterranean. In 638 CE the Byzantine Empire lost control of the Levant. The Arab Islamic Empireunder Caliph Omar conquered Jerusalem and the lands of Mesopotamia,Syria, Palestine and Egypt. (Wikipedia)
According to Jewish tradition, Abraham was born under the name Abram in the city of Ur in Babylonia in the year 1948 from Creation (circa 1800 BCE). He was the son of Terach, an idol merchant, but from his early childhood, he questioned the faith of his father and sought the truth. He came to believe that the entire universe was the work of a single Creator, and he began to teach this belief to others. (Judaism 101)
Christianity began as an offshoot of Judaism by Jews, and it quickly developed into a separate religion which claimed to be the new updated Judaism. That's why it kept the Jewish Bible and attachment to the Jewish Land and history. Christians then made many changes and additions which are totally contrary to the Basic Jewish Laws including the first of the Ten Commandments which Christians inexplicably claim to follow.
The year one is the first year in the Christian calendar (there is no year zero), which is the calendar presently used (in unison with the Gregorian calendar) almost everywhere in the world. Traditionally, this was held to be the year Jesus was born; however, most modern scholars argue for an earlier or later date, the most agreed upon being between 6 BC and 4 BC. (Wikipedia)
History of Christianity -- how did it all start? Christianity started about 2000 years ago in Judea (present-day Israel) with Jesus Christ and His faithful group of disciples. (All About)
And, lastly, Islam was invented. Its ultimate aim is to replace both Judaism and Christianity.
The history of Islam concerns the religion of Islam and its adherents,Muslims. "Muslim" is an Arabic word meaning "one who submits to God". Muslims and their religion have greatly impacted the politicaleconomicand militarymilitary history of the Old World, especially the Middle East, where its roots lie. Because of the absence of historical and archaeological record* non-Muslims understand Islam to have originated in Mecca and Medina. Beginning in the 7th century the Islamic world expanded to include people of the Islamic civilization, while consuming non-Muslims living in that civilization. (Wikipedia)The story of Islam starts with the prophet Muhammad. However, Islam rose in a certain historical and geographical context. What was Arabia like before Muhammad and the rise of the Islamic religion? The Arabian Peninsula was originally the home of nomadic peoples who coped with the desert climate by migrating every season ("Arab" roughly translates as "desert dweller").
When some people groups began to establish settlements around the fifth century BC, many chose Mecca, near the west coast of Saudi Arabia, as their home. It did not offer a favorable climate or many natural resources, but it was the site of the Ka'ba, a large cubical shrine dedicated to various deities.
The religion of the Arab world before the advent of Islam was an animistic polytheism. It was believed that the desert was populated with fiery spirits called jinn. Numerous gods were worshipped as well, with most towns having their own patron god. Mecca soon became the religious center, with 360 shrines, one for each day in the lunar year. Local merchants depended heavily on pilgrims to these shrines for their livelihood, a fact which would become significant for Muhammad. (ReligionFacts)
So, looking simply at the numbers and reading the Jewish Biblical narrative which all three religions claim, it's very clear that the Temple Mount is truly Jewish, and the Muslims are lying usurpers.

We must stop the desecration of the Temple Mount by the Muslims and restore dignified Jewish worship there! The Temple Mount is JEWISH!!

*Could this lack of  or "absence of historical and archaeological record" actually prove that what muslims claim to be their history is really a sham, a lie?

Batya, if you want to get historical, one needs to study the Sumerian Cuneiform Tablets. One will quickly see stories that radically predate the Torah are very similar to the Genesis account, including those who brought the flood, saved humanity, created humanity, destroyed Sodom etc etc. Tradition does not mean truth but contains truths with a motive.

Just to clarify something that is simply misinformation. The Jesus movement consisted of Torah observant Jews who kept the law, this is even according to Church historians!! They did NOT believe that the law consisted of what we have as the Talmud but all Jewish law was based on the Tanach. They had their own beit din, Cohanim etc. They where in fact opposition Sadducean in practice with some overlapping beliefs that the Pharisaic (rabbinical) Jews held that where against the Sadduceans. The Jesus movement was called the Netzarim (not Notzrim).
This group was taken over by his brother James after the murder of Jesus. They continued his teachings and practice without any problem within the legitimate Jewish communities, though disagreements in that period were fierce, until the year 135 when the first Roman Gentile Bishop was put over the "church". This is what you are referring to when you speak of Christianity that we are familiar with today. The Pauline Roman Gentile Christianity that was against the "law", a 180 degree opposite of the actual movement that disagreed with both the pharisaic and sadducean movements on several areas. So Christianity as we know it is in fact an invented movement of truth covered in untruths.

It is obvious that if one debunks Christianity with truth, by defalt Islam will also be shown to be false. It is a movement of submission under the guise of a religion. If one digs deeper into texts that predate the Torah, you can also see who the moon god is, the symbolism, and context of the creation.

We don't have to really "prove" who was here first, because the base structure of the Temple mount has the exact base at Baalbek, Lebanon. Only difference is the size of the megalithic stones. That opens up a different can of worms. We simply need to put an end to the charade, we don't need to justify why other than this movement called the Palestinians was created to destroy us. That is good enough reason to put an end to this nonsense. Annex the land, and you know the rest of the game.

The dead civilizations are of no importance today. Same goes for early versilns of christianity

Lol Batya, of course they matter because of we build our defense based on lies, don't expect good results. The victors rewrote history, that does not prove our derech is that of God, but as the prophets have warned, it is not. So you want to fight against an enemy who fabricated their history, maybe we need to realize that we have done the same thing, though a hard pill to swallow. The enemy is going for broke now, fight with truth, we will win, fight with partial truths and outright lies, we will fall.

It cannot happen because the leaders of this medina do not believe the truth of the Torah, the may learn it, the Tanach, but if you listen carefully, they always say something like, "our tradition says..." "the stories..." They read it as an intellectual exercise, but they do not believe in it's truth, or they believe it true, but not relevant in today's world. In either case, this is why they cannot use the truth of what is written in the Torah to defend even our right to exist on this Land, much less the right to Har HaBayit.

Because of our sins we were expelled from our land. You will pray these words tomorrow on Rosh Chodesh.

So you think that one day after we were expelled can come along someone like yourself pointing out how all the land is ours?

That's exactly what you're doing.

It's incitement like that that's causing knifings today.

But you want to be correct instead of wise.

So go bump heads with the Arabs in your way and stop preaching or hollering like the old ladies at the wrestling matches in your hometown.

Sicarii are ye?

Dvorah, what about self respect, what about standing up for your own people as a Nation, what about stopping the lies and charades of the goyim? We can work out our internal theological differences, that's a separate issue. We need to stand up and stop this theological argument crap, it will ONLY divide this house which will fall.

RE Shilo's first comment. The Torah came before everything and also gives us the history of creation. The nations, whether the Greeks, etc. have all taken their stories, mythologies, etc. from the Torah. Our Sages have written of this. The history of man is all described in the Torah. If one does not believe in each of the 13 principles of Faith, by the Rambam, then they do not believe in Torah and there is nothing further to discuss.

Shiloh, why do you keep going into theology when I'm writing simple history. Obviously you have an agenda and you keep on trying to make points which have nothing to do with what I wrote.

Unknown, Gd gave the Land to the Jewish People and being thrown out as punishment isn't to be permanent. It's to give us a chance to repent/return.

dvorah rut, yes, that's why I blog, to say what the media won't.

A, yes, amen.

So you block Shilohs response because you cannot back your claims with truth. Sad

Cornelius Tacticus, the famous Jew-hating Roman historian who lived from year 56 CE (approximately) to year 120 CE said:

“Much of Judea is thickly studded with villages, and the Jews have towns as well.
Their capital is Jerusalem. Here stood their Temple with its boundless riches.”

MODERN SOURCE OF QUOTE:
The Western World (page 141) by Pearson Custom Publishing, year 2009 CE

ORIGINAL SOURCE OF QUOTE:
The Histories by Tacitus, The Jews (Book 5), paragraph 8 of 13.

CONCLUSIONS FROM THIS QUOTE:
{1} Muslims are LYING when they deny that Jews trace their historical origins to the Land of Israel.

{2} Muslims are LYING when they deny that Jerusalem is the historical capital of the Jewish state.

{3} Muslims are LYING when they deny that the Jewish Temple existed in Jerusalem.

{4} Notice that Tacticus mentioned Judea, NOT Palestine.

{5} Tacticus never mentioned the Palestinian people, even though he wrote much about Jews and their land, because there were no Palestinian people in his time.

Shuki, nothing is blocked.

Mr. Cohen, thanks. And #5 says it all.

I really can not understand some Jews, if we can call them that. What is the point of discussion here? The authenticity of the Temple? Any serious historian knows that there existed two Temples, any serious and honest historian knows that the Arabs have as much right to this earth as the Chinese, that is, no. Foreign philosophy, Western thought in which case the Arab thought permeated so strong in some Jews, who for some the pursuit of truth means to eradicate any Jewish ancestral identity. That's not the truth, is intellectual dishonesty.
