War on Terror! Not Simple!

Israel as a state, and Israelis as individuals are under attack. Our Arab and foreign NGO enemies are encouraging young, underage Arab kids to do the dirty work. At the United Nations supported UNRWA school, one can easily say that terror against Israelis is on the curriculum and an encouraged extracurricular activity.
In the first instance, highlighted by Elder on Sunday, Lebanese teacher Hiba M. Miari, who apparently is an instructor for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), as well as for Beirut Arab University, updated her cover image to include a cartoon of a man in typical Palestinian demonstrator garb — a plain, long-sleeved shirt and black-and-white Yasser Arafat keffiyeh worn as a balaclava — strumming a serrated knife as if it were a violin with an elongated antique key. Besides general alertness and the ability to fight back, there isn't any real defense against terror. If you have a personal weapon or mace, pepper spray and can somehow get it out to use against the terrorist then he or she can be stopped or even executed on the spot. Of course this is easier said than done, and I consider all successful defense moves to be totally miraculous. That's because the terrorists go after those who seem most vulnerable, very similar to the Biblical Amalek. Amalek attacked those in the rear and those suffering "doubt," meaning those who were emotionally and theologically weakest. In Hebrew (of course) the gematria for both Amalek and "doubt" are the same.

One can say that terror is the political/ideological version of mugging, and self-defense experts say that the best prevention against mugging is strong, confident and hyper-alert body language. Scanning your phone or facebook or twitter messages while walking in the street is an invitation to attack.

Today's Arab terrorists are not only younger than before, but more and more are females, which according to Ruthie Blum is a tactic of the terrorist masterminds and trainers.

As I've written many times, the best results for us would be if all Arab terrorists were executed on the spot, instead of being given medical treatment and legal rights. Terrorists should not be treated as ordinary criminals. This is a major fault in the Israeli legal and political system that treats terrorists as "muggers."

I can't offer you any predictions or comforting words in this blog post. We are undergoing a very dangerous situation right now in Israel. Today is Rosh Chodesh Marcheshvan, and I will pray as every Rosh Chodesh at Tel Shiloh, one of the holiest spots for Jews in the world. I will pray that our ruling politicians get wisdom, strength and confidence to do what Gd wants and stop listening for foreign approval.

Right now dear Batya, I tend to agree with you-- those who have stabbed someone should be SHOT on the spot. The Egyptians and all our neighbors do this daily. The problem is what will we gain? THEY will be martyrs in any event, and our actions will stir up much more civil unrest in Sachneen; Um El Fachen; etc. SO I am torn.I don't give a DA*N about world opinion. However you depicted the present horrific reality here perfectly! Well done my friend!

Batya, when children are indoctrinated with hate from gan and up, is it not surprising that today's terrorist are younger and younger.

Many children are in UN schools...who tolerate the teaching of hatred.

Gan children have dress up..Hamas costumes. The children sing and do plays about killing Jews. Older kids go to Hamas summer camp to learn how to kill Jews.

Parents wish their child to be a martyr..for the glory and money.

We can all scream for BIBI to so something, me included..but it is easier said than done.

May Hashem give him the wisdom and ability to have a strong arm.

NG, we can't pussyfoot around. Terror must be fought strongly, with might not fear.
Miriam, yes, that is why there is no recipe for immediate peace. It will take generations.

I agree. On the spot neutralization is the only way.
