As we've known forever, the Israeli Media is rigidly Left and always has been.
The latest headlines say that Prime Minister Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu's Likud may only make third place if...
...Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid and former welfare minister Moshe Kahlon’s Kulanu party run together in the March 17 election, according to a Panels Research poll taken Wednesday for The Jerusalem Post and its Hebrew sister newspaper Maariv Sof Hashavua. (Jerusalem Post)Yes, that's possible. The pollsters and the media are working hard to push the Leftist parties into the correct alliances to get the results they crave.
Lapid and Kahlon have both denied they intend to run together. But Lapid has said he would explore multiple possibilities about running in conjunction with other parties.
If they do not run together, Labor would win 23 seats, the Likud 21, Bayit Yehudi 16, Yesh Atid and Kulanu 10 each, Yisrael Beytenu eight, United Torah Judaism and Meretz seven each, two Arab parties five each, and Shas and former Shas chairman Eli Yishai’s Ha’am Itanu party four each.
The poll of 507 respondents representing a statistical sample of the adult population found that 27 percent of respondents remain undecided.
Among those who call themselves centrist, the figure is even higher: 39%. The survey’s margin of error is 4.3 percentage points.

Israeli governments aren't completely decided by Knesset Elections. Political parties must join together in a coalition to form a government. The art of creating and controlling such a coalition isn't easy. It takes political smarts that are hard to come by.
Netanyahu, who is labeled as Right but promotes himself as Center, has managed to craft coalitions three times already. Last time he made some bad mistakes. He ran with Avigdor Lieberman's party which weakened his Likud. And he found himself forced to take on Yair Lapid because of pressure by Naftali Bennett. It seems that this time he is letting Bennett take on Lieberman's "old job" as "the big mouth on the Right." Bennett has been campaigning against a Palestinian state, while Bibi is committed to the "Two State Solution." That puts Bibi's Likud in the Center where he thinks he should be. But I wonder how many voters want a parve/neutral party that doesn't give firm leadership.
Many Right voters are sick and tired of voting Likud and getting Leftist policies. And more are realizing that voting Bennett will get just Likud "yes men."
We still have almost three months until the elections. Maybe the voters will surprise the pollsters.

Please, dont make again and again the same mistake. I agree with you: Ben Ari is the most pro-eretz Israel, but yet: should he enter the knesset, he wouldnt have much more to do to protect our interests. Please be sure that elections are not a question of choosing Moshiah', or saying it loud what should be the best way for Am Israel: it s a question of pragmatism. Yet, one have only one choise: Bibi or Benett...
I pray for a Right wing opposition to pull the government to the Right. Bennett will just be a Bibi clone with kippah. His plan is to be in the cabinet and will follow Bibi's rules. Bibi will allow him certain ranting privileges to paint himself as Center. But Bennett will just be a smoke screen.
The weird thing is I don't think any of them truly realize that they lack emuna in Hashem, and that they need to have emuna in Hashem.
It's like they do not realize that they are (we all are) small creatures and yet we can influence so much good. All we have comes form The Almighty- it is not to be abused or taken advantage of.
All of this jumping back and forth between parties makes one's head spin. Someone please stop the merry go round.
They don't realize that all the power they perceive they have -yes perceive, is not anywhere near what is needed to make proper change.
The Geulah is so close upon us and they (and we) are in for such an awakening.
You are right, Batya, we need to go to the right- not the left!
I agree with you- we need a right leaning person who upholds Torah values and I really pray we get that person (people).
Again, we are so close and yet Hashem knows the true date of Moshiach's arrival. The thing is that we really need to show Hashem how much we want the Geulah; how much we want to hear Hashem's voice and how much we want to go forward into a time that will usher in peace.
I think the ultimate thing they don't understand is that Hashem is bringing the Geulah no matter how they campaign what they stand for and who's support they have!
One man and Hashem make an army.
Leah, yes, so true, they haven't a clue. But I do feel we're getting closer. I'm here 44 years and there was a time that Right and faith in G-d weren't combined at all on the political scene.
Yes, agreed. Thank you for the insight. I definitely think we are close -very close, which is why I wish for them and all of us to our act together...
Freilichen Chanukah and a gitten Chodesh!
Thanks
Voters are Right, but politicians aren't. It's just a big con.
