Where is Moshe Feiglin Hiding?

I find it interesting that in the Jerusalem Post's article wondering who can/is leading Israel's Right Wing, pro-Jewish Life-Settlement in Land of Israel Movement, Moshe Feiglin wasn't mentioned in the long list of "no way" and "not a chance." Gil Hoffman seems to think that Moshe Ya'alon is the closest, but my gut feeling tells me that if PM Bibi Netanyahu had appointed him Defense Minister, he would have closeted his ideals, just like MK Benny Begin seems to have done.

I keep forgetting about Benny Begin when I blame Feiglin for attracting Right wing voters to vote for Likud.  Benny is also guilty of the scam.  His appearance on the list reassured veteran Likud members that their vote for the Likud wouldn't be the mistake I had been predicting.  But Benny isn't the Benny he once was. Benny and Bibi share more than a name.

After seeing Environment Minister Gilad Erdan in action at last winter's Jerusalem Conference, I'm not surprised that he was one of those who skipped the Likud "pro-building for Jews in YoSh meeting" yesterday.  Erdan's ambition is stronger than his ideology.

Again, the bottom line is that the Likud isn't going to save the country.  The worst things, Menachem Begin's Camp David and the Sharon-Olmert Disengagement were from the Likud.  Never forget it!

Here is a link to a translation from the front page article in Ma’ariv newspaper's September 8 edition.

This article discusses who Netanyoyo is really afraid of.
P.S. It's not the National Union.

It's a week before Rosh Hashanah

Is the title's negative connotation Loshon Harah or Motzee Shem Rah? From my first-hand knowledge of Manhigut's activities, I vote for Motzee Shem Rah.

Shy Guy, why haven't we heard from Feiglin lately? All the hawks or wanna be hawks are speaking out against Bibi and Feiglin is remarkably quiet. You can claim that Feiglin knows what he's doing and his strategy is sound, but how far have his strategies gotten him?

Hadassa, do you subscribe to Manhigut's weekly update?

Hebrew

English

Can you claim with certainty that things would be going downhill at the same speed if Manhigut's people weren't around applying the emergency breaks behind the scenes in many situations? Did you think the Israeli press is going to give MY positive coverage?

Not seeing or hearing does not equate knowing.

Rob, and Shy, too, please read carefully. That article used various euphemisms for "Feiglin’s men." The people they refer to aren't Feiglin and may not be MY followers. There's nothing showing that Feiglin is orchestrating any of this opposition. Just like during the primaries, quite a few of those on the recommended "Feiglin list," were not in any way his supporters.

One thing I do agree is that Bibi will do anything to muzzle opposition. We saw it when he rammed changes in the primary results.

Shy, when it comes to politics, I don't take anything on faith. I have to see to believe, and I don't see Feiglin doing what a national political leader should do.

Hadassa, amen.

Shy Guy, your answer proves my point. You have to get the official MY publication in order to know what Feiglin is doing. If only MY members see what Feiglin is doing, how does MY expect to increase its power?

In the end Feiglin doesn't matter. Listen to the language coming from Likud. It's the same double speak we heard before the destruction of Gush Katif. Only 3 MKs showed up in Tel Aviv yesterday. That is the reality. Yaalon can say what he wants, he will turn too. Gideon Sa'ar talks about building schools in Yesha; just more slick talk. He wasn't in Tel Aviv either. Feiglin is not in a position to do anything. He's not in the government. We have seen the lengths that Knesset leaders will go to when they are determined to betray the Jewish people. Politically, only a unification of the nationalists is going to make a difference now. Taking over Likud once the damage is done is meaningless.

Don't rely on politicians. It is up to the people to stop what I fear is coming.

Rob! Thanks for posting my translation.

Muse, Reb Rafi again...

What would have to theoretically happen in order for you to tell your readers to join Likud?

I don't think I have to clarify the difference between joining and voting yet again.

What is your problem? This is not a question of egos and who's right. This is a question of our very lives. And again, you can have it both ways.

Tell them. Join Likud. Right now. Sign the form. That's it.

Shana Tova.

Reb rafi, I never said not to join. I just said don't vote for them. Please read more carefully.

Feiglin simply does not get air time, doesn't mean he is not doing anything. Please do not let the media decide 'what is happening' for you.

The media has an incredible influence on us. The last elections brought 'nobodies' into the limelight, and the media still has not warmed up to them = getting scoops from them in order to publicize them. Feiglin is not news so he will be ignored, unfortunately.
Until the next election, MY should bring back its parsha page and publish more books. I really liked Moti Karpel and Professor Hess' books I bought through ads in the parsha page. What happened to that?

josh, a7 used to give him lots of publicity.
