Terminology

What's democracy, liberalism, communism, civil rights, dictatorship, freedom?

democracy=idiots can rule, and long as they're the majority of voters

liberalism=the elite decides what's right and proper

communism=artificial social and financial structures

civil rights=some people have the right to trample others

dictatorship=the ruler dictates and disagreement is treason

freedom=?

What do you think?

Now, I'm getting ready to see what's really happening in Amona, and later, if I'm allowed in by the police and army, I'll babysit in Ofra for my granddaughters.

Freedom? Ein cheirut ela Torah..., as our Sages taught us. I think the only way we are going to free ourselves from the Bolsheviks that have ruled this country since 1948 is by a complete return by Am Yisrael to Torat Yisrael in Eretz Yisrael. We need a massive American, Canadian and European aliya from the so-called "free world", and a massive Teshuva movement amongst "native Israelis". THIS will bring Moshiach and true freedom from the Bolsheviks.

Otherwise, I'm afraid that these "enlightened" dictators will have us commit collective suicide within 5 years, as they "disengage" from Yehuda and Shomron, and Yerushalayim, and ... and ...and then, the "palestinian" Hamas-Islamic Jihad-Tanzim-al-Aqsa terrorists will destroy the "rest" of what remains of "Medinat Yisrael."

Reishit tzemichat geulateinu indeed!!!

True freedom will be achieved when there is a Torah State in Israel.

yitz, did you know that Rav Kook said that if the Orthodox do not seize power from the Chilonim that the chilonim would become a force for physical and spiritual destruction?

KL, Yes, I think I read about that recently on chardal's blog.

BATYA, where are you? Did you see this comment on Arutz 7:

David HaLevi
Hometown: Jerusalem Israel (making yerida_
Title: Making Yerida - no longer a hard choice
Comment: My wife has wanted to consider moving back to America for a while now. I was resisting, but no more. After wasting so much time and energy to try and better a state that I thought was "reishit smichat geulatenu" I know understand that good and evil can not mix, that this State is truly evil (this is hardly teh first example, just one of the more shocking). Though I will continue to identify as a member of the Jewish People, I can no longer side with the "Israelis". This is an evil state,and an evil society, and I will not volunteer to continue to be a part of it. Goodbye Israel. U broke my heart.

WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO ABOUT THIS???

We have to keep trying to change the people. It makes it so much easier to understand Moshe Rabenu's problems with Bnai Yisrael.
