RE: Israel, The World Refuses The Truth

Whenever we say the full Hallel, which includes Psalms Chapter 115 תְּהִלִּים I think of those who refuse to admit that the Jewish People and the State of Israel are innocent victims of terror and discrimination.  King David said it so well:
א  לֹא לָנוּ יְהוָה, לֹא-לָנוּ:    כִּי-לְשִׁמְךָ, תֵּן כָּבוֹד--עַל-חַסְדְּךָ, עַל-אֲמִתֶּךָ.1 Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto Thy name give glory, for Thy mercy, and for Thy truth's sake.
2 Wherefore should the nations say: 'Where is now their God?'
3 But our God is in the heavens; whatsoever pleased Him He hath done.
4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
ה  פֶּה-לָהֶם, וְלֹא יְדַבֵּרוּ;    עֵינַיִם לָהֶם, וְלֹא יִרְאוּ.5 They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
ו  אָזְנַיִם לָהֶם, וְלֹא יִשְׁמָעוּ;    אַף לָהֶם, וְלֹא יְרִיחוּן.6 They have ears, but they hear not; noses have they, but they smell not;
7 They have hands, but they handle not; feet have they, but they walk not; neither speak they with their throat.
8 They that make them shall be like unto them; yea, every one that trusteth in them.
9 O Israel, trust thou in the LORD! He is their help and their shield!
After all these milenium when our enemies have attempted to destroy us and blame us for their sins and blame us for surviving and blame us for Gd's protection the miracles which have missiles land in empty fields and our smaller armies defeat larger, more numerous Arab armies etc.

Why can't people, Jews and non-Jews see the truth that we are the Chosen People? We are Gd's People. Gd does not want us destroyed. There are times when Gd wants us to be punished for our sins, and that is when we are exiled and suffer greatly.

So when all these countries and faux "do-gooder" NGOs condemn us for defending ourselves and effectively "ducking" enemy attacks, it's just plain antisemitism and hypocrisy, because when they feel under attack they certainly kill, maim and destroy more than we ever do.

We will only enjoy true peace when we take off the "mufflers" from the weapons -both military and hasbara/propaganda/information- we use for defense and unabashedly fight our enemies.

"Emet,ve'yatziv, ve'nachon!" Every word is shining with truth!! It's just a shame that our leaders lack the faith needed to behave in accordance with your post. To "Trust in the Lord for He is our sword and shield!" Instead, we have bagatz that begin inquiries as to "if soldier/ policeman X,Y, or Z used excessive force" while elimanting terrorists who kill and maim innocent Israelis.I wish we had YOU in our government dear Batya! Bravo for your words!

Our leaders are unable to speak the truth. Because they are engaged in magical thinking they also are engaging magical speaking. They see everything unraveling around them. Jewish blood being spilled every day. They know that the situation calls for actions some may call ugly and they are afraid of what will occur the day after. Who will they have to answer to? Certainly they aren't fearing Almighty G-d but the nations. So they listen to the outlandish schemes and suicidal suggestions of those who hate us. And the cancer has gone from a mysterious lump to stage four full body matastacized monster. Why do anything now? Tomorrow's another day.

Tanach / Bible, Tehillim / Psalms, chapter 129, verse 5:
Let them be ashamed and turned backward, all haters-of-Zion.

Verses 5-9 refer to the idols mentioned in Verse 4. I don't like chiddushim that go against the pshat, even if they sometimes have a certain resonance.

Maybe some other verses would be good. Like I am for peace and they are for war. There are verses in tehillim about false accusations. NA DMORE.

Also: (two places in Isaiah (who is quoted by the United Nations)

20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it cannot rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt.
כא אֵין שָׁלוֹם, אָמַר אֱלֹהַי לָרְשָׁעִים. {פ} 21 There is no peace, saith my God concerning the wicked. {P}

Yes, they refer to man-made idols, but my mind always takes me elsewhere.
