Should we take this with a smile, Batya?
What in the hell happened?
Van, there's nothing funny about it.
Robert, instead of chasing terrorists or protecting Jews, the govt orders the army to destroy Jewish homes.
Shalom and shavua tov!
We should take it with a few thousand Jews to rebuild Alei-Ayin. We'd be on a hilltop today if it weren't for the serious respiratory problems of a few members of our family. (We live in Elon Moreh.)
Elon Moreh is an important spot. Don't sell it short.
Batya, don't misinterpret me. My point is, you chide Jews for not coming to Israel, yet these abuses of the Israeli government upon her people, over and over again, are no reason to rethink aliya - according to you. How easily you trivialize the plight of Jews who want to make aliyah but find these abuses overwhelming.
van, Do you know the story of the little red hen? Baking bread that starts with a small seed of wheat that must be planted and harvested etc is a lot of work. You may discover that you're not served the bread.
Thanks for the great idea for a post!
After your new post I might catch your drift.
Batya, my friend;
You gave me the idea for this post, to which I invite your comments:

Van, Judaism is based on living here in Eretz Yisrael. The Moshiach is waiting here. The Torah is centered here. It's very simple.
