Knesset Member Molla in Messianic Money Jam
In what could be a tale of double deception, it’s been reported that Kadima MK Shlomo Molla may have pocketed thousands of shekels in funds which were designated for the Ethiopian Jewish community by a very deceptive Christian missionary “rabbi” Jonathan Bernis of "the Jewish Voice". Jewish Israel provided vital information to members of the Israeli parliament on the web of missionary connections involved in this case...more

Daystar creeps back into Israel
Two years after being barred due to a public outcry, Israel cable TV provider HOT is once again broadcasting Daystar Television programming in Israel. When the TBN Russian affiliate launched back in August, Jewish Israel was concerned about the precedent this would set for other missionary networks to claim “the right” to spread Christian gospel in Israel, and whether this would mean that Daystar would be making a comeback. Well it seems we were late in the game, as Daystar was already up and broadcasting here. Will public pressure work this time?..more

Has Israel undergone digital TV conversion from analog and multicasting? Monitor these xtian TV networks in Israel regarding that.

They pushed for it in the US government. No coincidence that xtian networks are gobbling smaller sations (ie. DayStar grabbed a small station from Springville, NY).

What multicasting allows is for a network to broadcast on several TV stations at the same time. For example, TCT has three stations 26, 26-1, 26-2.

Jonathan Bernis' organization is particularly aggressive. One time he had a guest on saying that it is "anti-Semitic" to withhold the gospel from Jews.

That's the mentality they have. And because his group has tons of money they air on several xtian networks.

Suprised that xtian networks and missionaries are funneling money to Israeli politicians? Not at all. It's pure bribery on the part of the missionaries and politicians are just doing what politicians do.

In Israel, though, I imagine they're calling it "Pro Jewish support."

Hopefully this MK will be the subject of a criminal investigation.

Convoluted stuff but Jonathan Bernis also had a guest on who was an xtian who claimed she converted to 'traditional' Judaism and then became a Messianic Jew.

In other words, an xtian who converted to Judaism for the sole purpose of learning enough about Judaism to con vulnerable Jews into accepting JC.

Naturally, she never said which branch of Judaism she converted to. I'd had to think it was Orthodox. That would mean either she was particularly cunning in conning an educated rabbi and Beit Din or that they were lax in the conversion process.

Thanks, Keli Ata.
Your comments are always relevant.

Sometimes it's worth having "been there and done that". The rest of us can be very naive. We need folks like you.

I'd wait on the Molla investigation before we point too many fingers at MK Shlomo Molla, as we really don't know the extent of his role here or all of the details.

Jonathan Bernis, on the other hand, is already guilty of pretending to be a rabbi with the intention of duping Jews.

TY Ellen:) I sometimes worry that I go OT.

Since I can't monitor Arab TV I monitor xtain TV in the US. Be on guard in Israel for the multicasting thing. If the missionary networks start clamoring MKs for it scream against it.

Shy--that quote is exactly what missionaries do. And these evangelicals know it full well. Seems their messiah and his disciples were quite the liars.

Messianic groups target Jews, potential converts, and I've even heard of them targeting Noachides, calling themselves "Christian Noachides."
