American Interference in Iraq as Template for sic Palestinian State

America's invasion of Iraq hasn't made it a safer and more western, democratic country.  Violence is increasing.  The idea/concept/ideology that the United States can train a country, change a people's culture, etc into "American style," peaceful etc is a very serious and fatal mistake.

Here in the HolyLand, in Israel, we've suffered from Arab terrorism even before the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948.  The terrorism certainly predates the 1967 Six Days War and our liberation of our historic Homeland, Judea, Samaria, Gaza, the Golan and the Sinai.

It's an unrealistic fantasy to imagine that the Arabs would let us Jews live in peace, whether in Tel Aviv or Tel Zion, Ramat Rachel or Shvut Rachel, Haifa or Hebron.  It will take generations to change the terrorists into peace lovers, and there's no guarantee that the Arabs will ever want peace.  I'm not willing to risk my life just because some dreamers think that the Arab terrorists can be made into a country.  They're not a people.  They have no history.  We Jews have one.

Both the christian and muslim religions are based on the Jewish Religion.  That's easy to verify, and that proves that we have the history.  This is our Land, and no American campaign, ideology can change it.  America, Obama, butt out!

Violence is not increasing in Iraq. So they had one very very ugly day. American troops have been on the decrease since Barack Hussein came to power. The NY Times is a leftist paper, please take anything from them about war with a grain of salt.

I disagree about the American culture thing. In general, it works. Spreading pop culture, hip-hop music, and other western materialistic values to Arab youth increases their materialism, and reduces their birthrate as well.

The problem is that no one can change their underlying nature which is explicitly written in the torah 'pereh adam' (wild man) and we learn from this that man is the adjective. Spreading the culture of America to Arabs is good in the short-term, but eventually and inevitably, they will break out back to their roots - Yishmael.

The violence in Iraq comes cfrom Al Qaeda. The problem is that Al Qaeda, or whoever is sponsoring it I should say, is in the top class of intelligence agencies that have ever existed in the world. The Iraqi government is nowblaming foreign countries - but they don't knw which or don't want to say.

All Moslem terrorism all over the world is probably really one organization whose top ranks we have no clue to, or not much. One reason we may not have good clues is British libel laws.

Now another thing - it will not take generations to make Moslems into not terrorists. It did not take too many generations - basically half of a generation, although there were roots that went back 70 years and even 300 or 400 years - to make germans into murderers, and it took about 4 years, and a few well publicized executions, and a complete loss of war that was accepted to make them into no longer murderers.

The Arabs may stay the way they are for a long time - and yet it could all change in five years at some point. That is the lesson of history.

It just requires a revolution in perception. The United nations of course is working 180 degrees in the wrong direction.

What Obama needs to realize taht what thinks of, or is told, are causes, are effects. It is not anything Israel does that causes the hatred. It is the hatred taht causes the accusations. the latest events at the temple mount were based upon claims that some Jews was planning to demolish Al Aksa and rebuild the temple. Now - regardless of whether anyone would think this is a good idea - is this happening? No, it's not. So the hatred has nothing to do with what Israel does. The problem is lies and slander, and Sinas Chinam.

Did they have some claim taht the gun was legal INDEPENDENT of the incident?

Of course the incident was unreasonable - he can't both expect to be treated like a policeman (and demand that he be given a gun to examine and claim there is something wrong with pointing it at him when he tries to grab it maybe) and NOT a policeman.

What legal right are they claiming to hold the gun? A lie about what happened?

josh, the violence will go up and down for sure. It's not over with.
Sammy, I agree that world violence/terrorism is all connected.
