Uri Yifrach meeting with the Sanzer Rebbe in Netanya |
Uri and Iris Yifrach, parents of the abducted Israeli yeshiva student Eyal, went last night (Tuesday) to the residence of the Rebbe of Sanz in Netanya, to receive his blessing.
The family members, residents of Elad, were accompanied by Pinchas Gross, a member of the local council, who has been with the family during this difficult time.
The Rebbe honored the parents, asking them to sit next to him at his reception desk, and strengthening them with warm words. Eyal’s mother Iris cried to the Rebbe and asked, "Please bless me that I will get to dance at my son’s wedding."
The Rebbe replied: "Only in the times of Choni HaMa’agel were there tzaddikim (righteous ones) who could ensure that. But the strong faith we have in G-d," he continued, "will certainly help that the family’s hopes will be realized."
"I went to pray for you and for your son," the Rebbe continued, "at my father's grave (the Shefa HaChaim zt"l) and at the Western Wall."
He added: "This is trouble for all of Israel. The fact that there are three hostages makes it into a public matter, with special interest and special pain; but it is clear that [the suffering of] each one [of the captives] causes us pain on its own."
After words of encouragement for 20 minutes, the Rebbe blessed them: "We will meet again just for joy."
The boys' names for prayer and Divine mercy: Yaakov Naftali ben Rachel Devora; Gilad Michael ben Bat-Galim; Eyal ben Iris Teshura.
The Al-mighty G-d does not reject the prayers of the many.
