Global Warming?

I was raised in New York where winter snow storms were routine and blizzards weren't a rarity.  We all knew that once you went further south, like as far as Washington DC the weather was warmer, and snow wasn't as common.

Nowadays the news is filled with Global Warming.  We expect warmer weather, right?  So why has it been snowing so much in Washington DC?  I'm confused.

Shalom!
And shavua tov (have a good week)!
I forget who first told me: America freezes our building, Hashem freezes them.
Measure for measure...
Unusual weather is also a sign that the Mashiah is soon to come. I heard that first during an out of season rain about 20 years ago at Machon Ora in Jerusalem. I suppose relative to 2,000 years of exile 20 years is a blink of a eye.

It is said that global warming has caused extreme weather - not necessarily just warming.

Climate change is also an issue, but the two terms are not interchangeable.

tnspr569 is right. "Global warming" tends to refer to an overall rise in temperature worldwide (which has happened before, but never at the rate at which it is currently rising), and this warming can cause more extreme weather. When it is warm, it allows for stronger, larger hurricanes, and when it is cold, it allows for stronger, larger snowstorms.

Of course, the key thing to the "climate change" debate is the idea that we're "killing Mother Earth" or some other nonsense. We can't destroy Earth even if we simultaneous blow up every weapon we have. What we can do it make Earth inhabitable for ourselves, and that is what we're arguing.

I refute global warming with three words--Buffalo, New York:)

Honestly, the whole global warming frenzy is just junk science and in many cases out right fraud to force everyone into buying newer and much more expensive "green" products like hybrid cars.

I do support finding alternative forms of energy though--hydropower, wind power, solar energy. We need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

Final thought/opinion--Hashem promised He would never again destroy the earth with water, so I don't believe the polar icecaps will melt and flood the entire earth.

Based on what we are finding out about the global warming hoax, they are trying to do world wide what you have shown the New Israel Fund is trying to do to Israel.

No surprise, Sabba Hillel, a leftist conspiracy. McCarthy must be rolling over in his grave.
