Rosh Chodesh Sivan-- Coming Soon!

Yes, the Jewish Month of Iyyar with all its highs, lows and great celebrations is coming to a close in less than a week. We've already celebrated Memorial Day, Independence Day and Lag B'Omer. In a couple days we will Gd willing celebrate Jerusalem Day, 49 years since the biblically miraculous 1967 Six Days War and the liberation of Judea, Samaria, the Golan Heights, Jordan Valley and Sinai. And you should be aware that just our victory would have been considered a miracle, even without the Gd given bonus of the Land.

For those of us who were alive and aware of the news and situation in 1967, it certainly looked like the State of Israel, which had just barely managed to celebrate nineteen 19 years of existance, was about to be destroyed by the combined forces of Egypt, Syria and Jordan. The United Nations unceremoniously paved the way for their attack by rapidly agreeing to Egypt's request to remove its "peacekeeping" sic forces from the region.

In the past decades military experts have researched and analysed everything about the war and the only conclusion they have come to was that the war, Israel's overwhelming victory was a miracle. They may not use the word, but they can't figure out any rational/military reason how we did it.

Among the many parts of the Land of Israel liberated was Shiloh. So it is extremely suitable to celebrate the victory and Rosh Chodesh at Shiloh Hakeduma, Tel Shiloh, with Women's Rosh Chodesh Prayers at Tel Shiloh.
