Bibi, Try Sovereignty and Self-Respect

Before I get into the meat of this blog post, I'd like to compare two recent pictures, which IMHO very accurately illustrate United States President Barack Hussein Obama's true feelings.

US President Obama is not a good actor.  It's always very clear in his grimaces, grins and body language if he likes someone or not.  He loves Abbas and he can't abide Bibi.  Obama also has dreams of facilitating the official establishment of a new Arab state to be called "Palestine."  This is a known fact and he hasn't be shy about it.



Please listen to this newscast from CBC, and try to find something realistic.  I can't.  Actually, the more I hear, the sicker and more incredulous I feel.

As far as I'm concerned, just to be pragmatic and practical Israel has only one choice, and that's to totally reject any more forced negotiations with the Arabs, who haven't been shy about wanting to destroy us.  Stop listening to foreign leaders.  Stop asking favors about recognizing our right to exist, be secure etc.

The State of Israel must not only declare our sovereignty, we must act on it.  We must make it clear in actions and words that we are an independent, sovereign nation and don't give a hoot about whatever anybody else in the world, whether Obama, Blair, J-Street etc thinks about our actions and policies. That is the only way we can be safe and secure.

There's a great irony in Obama's bombastic and unrealistic words concerning Israel and "peace" with the Arabs considering that he has lost control of the United States.  He couldn't get his budget passed causing a "shutdown" in many government departments.  Instead of worrying about giving/inventing the Arabs a new state, he should have been concentrating on governing his own country. Obama is no expert in politics.  Remember that he was elected in the most racists presidential elections in American history.  He was elected because of his color, not because of any expertise and experience he had in government.

So, Bibi, this is your chance to finally dump the United States as "mentor" and leader.  Obama can't stand you, because he does recognize that you have the potential to show the world that he's an amateur in a business that needs knowledgeable professionals.

Reaffirmation?
My immediate response to this was enormous indignation.  Of course we have the right to defend ourselves. We need no one's permission to do so.  Every sovereign state has the right of self-defense.

Our Israeli Government officials, including the Prime Minister, have to totally rethink.  Stop focusing on getting help from America and recognize that we have the power without foreign help.  Yes, it's like the Wizard of Oz being a fearful phony and Dorothy's wearing the powerful ruby red slippers.
