Israeli Flags Forever Flying!

Through thick and thin, no matter what the world wants and says. Wind is רוח ruach, spirit.

Just like we see in Jewish History, we will overcome our enemies.

We just must let our רוח ruach, spirit  prevail.

חג עצמאות שמח
Happy Israeli Independence Day

Flying forever? But where?

Here, there and everywhere!

It's a good thing that I don't have any illusions about Independence Day. Shy Guy's link would have ruined my day. I still remember Barak's shocked face watching the Arabs destroy Joseph's Tomb. Either the man is very stupid or a very good actor and I'm sure that he's the former. Possibly he's the later also. Oh well, happy Independence Day - whatever we have today is a lot more than we had 62 years ago, even if Barak and others are trying to chip away at it.

exactly

Hadassa, Barak is very stupid.

Netanyahu is the actor.

Batya said...

Shy, but Bibi never fooled me that way Olmert did. I must admit that although I correctly predicted that Olmert would be PM, I never thought that he was a rabid leftist in disguise.

Shy Guy said...

Neither Netanyahu nor Olmert fooled me.

There were so many signs. His wife. His kids. The money. The power grabs. The time Olmert didn't make it into the Knesset and Sharon stuck him way up there as deputy prime minister, no less.

He stank. Now he reeks.

Also, my link about Bibi being the actor isn't about fooling us individually but the populace as a whole, including how own party's voters. In fact, if you keep looking around the Israeli blogosphere, no one wants to believe that Netanyahu is really intent on giving away Yehuda and Shomron, Jerusalem and forming a terrorist state.

When Bibi was first elected and he appointed the late David Bar Ilan as a special assistant, I spoke to David, voicing doubt about Bibi's reliability. I never trusted him (Bibi.)

Shy Guy said...

Yep. All of Bibi's PR assistants are just for cover. Every one of them.

I never trusted Bibi. He's too smooth talking. It was nice to hear him speaking eloquently to foreign diplomats, but I never trusted him to always say, or do, the right thing. Olmert... well, who can trust a guy who eats shrimp and puts on a hareidi hat to win votes?

"In fact, if you keep looking around the Israeli blogosphere, no one wants to believe that Netanyahu is really intent on giving away Yehuda and Shomron, Jerusalem and forming a terrorist state."

That is indeed a scary fact. Has everyone forgotten that Bibi backed the expulsion until it was too late to have his (fig leaf) opposition be effective?

Hadassa, you know my blog well enough to know that I haven't forgotten,l and I also reported that Bibi would go center or left. That was the impression I got from his words at the first jbloggers convention.

Shy, I'm a pragmatist. When I see something failing I don't support it. And don't say that it's failing because I'm not supporting it. I've known the Likud party for close to 40 years, yes, since before there was a Likud. We signed to be members of Herut 39 1/2 years ago, weeks after docking at Haifa as olim chadashim.

Coming late into the discussion lol...I love that blue and white hammer balloon!

Regarding Bibi--a centrist is more dangerous than even a leftist. At least with the left and the right you know where they stand, for good and for bad.

That said, I still find something very likeable about Bibi as a person which seems to trump his political wishy-washy policies.

I wasn't referring to you Batya, or most of the people reading the blog.

Keli, you probably like Bibi because he speaks well in unaccented English. He's a real charmer, and is fooling many people. Don't join them.

Keli Ata said...

You're right Hadassa. He is a charmer. He could say the same things Olmert did without raising as many red flags as Olmert would.

Batya said...

Hadassa, thanks, wasn't clear.
