You Need a Sense of Humor

As doctors have been admitting for a few decades already, it's healthy to laugh.  Laughing (and just even smiling) releases a type of hormone, chemical in the body which can be even more effective than artificial medicines in fighting certain diseases.
  • Laughter relaxes the whole body. A good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after.
  • Laughter boosts the immune system. Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease.
  • Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain.
  • Laughter protects the heart. Laughter improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow, which can help protect you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems.
Haven't we all said that the news and politicians make us sick?

Thank G-d there are some very good antidotes on youtube.  As you know, I am a fan of Latma and  post their shows every week.  Latma is probably modeled on PJ Media, aka Pajamas Media, which being American, is much larger.  That's because the United States is much, much larger and has greater problems.  To prove my point, watch some PJ Media stand-up comedians commentators:

These two are more serious, but they're still worth listening to...
