Opportunistic Lieberman

What else can I say?

Nu, suddenly Olmert, who has been saying exactly the same thing, long before Lieberman joined the government, is now saying the wrong thing?
Lieberman's joining Olmert went against his supposed policies, but his leaving is perfectly consistent with his opportunistic politics.
Lieberman wants to be Prime Minister. His time as a minister in Olmert's Government was part of his "training program." He made more connections and learned a lot. That's for sure.
Listen very carefully to his words. He, like Sharansky and many others, put conditions on their opposition to negotiations with the Arab terrorists. When they "stop" their terror, then we can negotiate.
But his biggest lie is that now he claims that you can't buy peace for Land.
--Well, I hate to tell you Yvette, but Olmert has been preaching his plan of destroying your home and mine long before you became his political partner, ally whatever. Your sudden resignation was for one reason only. Your pollsters informed you that you're losing support, and that endangers your plans. "You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.." Abraham Lincoln

(sigh)
Ain't gonna happen.
Power blinds people.
The guys say/lie whatever they have to

Why do I still think that there was a better 'peace' in the late '70s. After they whipped butt?

Not easy.
In the late 60's early 70's we could walk any place safely.
