Now, from the very same can anyone really be so dumb salaried "leaders," who brought you the failed "Let the people decide" anti-Disengagement campaign and then didn't provide a welcoming basket to the refugees, we now have:
Yesha Pitches American Jews to Buy Homes
This is of course at the same time that Israeli urban neighborhoods are being plagued by empty apartments awaiting their foreign owners to pop in for "a short visit," and young Israelis are finding themselves unable to meet the inflated prices that the foreigners are willing to pay.
So, now Moetzet YESHA wants to bring the plague to the yishuvim of Judea and Samaria.
That's instead of building affordable starter-houses for young couples near bus lines in the yishuvim. In Shiloh, for instance, the Amana houses were built in the most inaccessible part of the yishuv. They're not only far from bus stops, but you need to climb up and down flights and flights of stairs to get to the stores, school, bus etc. Some front doors are more than two stories under the street. So of course it has taken years to sell them.
It's also not good for yishuvim to have houses which are kept empty most of the year. They kill the neighborhood.
I guess the same people are running things; I shouldn't be surprised.
