Israel Must Stop Underestimating the Arab Enemy!

Too many Israelis, including Prime Minister Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu, are dangerously underestimating the Arab terrorist enemy that is called "Palestine," sic. There was a time when they were weak and foolish, and nobody worth their salt took them seriously. But times have long changed. Their weapons are professional and deadly. It's not just the well aimed (has there been training?) knife attacks, bombings, shootings, rocket attacks and more.

from the Jerusalem Post

WATCH: Hamas flaunts 'elite unit' in new propaganda video
Fighters in latest Hamas propaganda video can be seen storming would-be IDF posts, utilizing tunnels, handling would-be hostage.
The militants in the video can be seen storming posts - equipped with machine guns, mortars and bombs - practicing shooting skills and training in the usage of infiltration tunnels and handling of a would-be IDF hostage. (Jerusalem Post)
But even mainstream public figures in non-Muslim countries propagate all sorts of lies about Israel:
British MP: Israel Fabricated Knife Attack Stories, Conservative Party Influenced By ‘Jewish Money’Labour MP Sir Gerald Kaufman has allegedly accused Israel of fabricating some recent stories about knife attacks against Jews in Israel, and claimed the Conservative party is influenced by “Jewish money,” in a speech at a pro-Palestine event at Parliament.
As reported by The Jewish Chronicle, Kaufman, MP for Manchester Gorton and Father of the House, told the audience at a Palestine Return Centre event that the Government has become more pro-Israel in recent years due to donations from Jewish groups.
“It’s Jewish money, Jewish donations to the Conservative Party – as in the general election in May – support from The Jewish Chronicle, all of those things, bias the Conservatives,” he said.
“There is now a big group of Conservative members of Parliament who are pro-Israel whatever government does and they are not interested in what Israel, in what the Israeli government does.”
He added: “They’re not interested in the fact that Palestinians are living a repressed life, and are liable to be shot at any time. In the last few days alone the Israelis have murdered 52 Palestinians and nobody pays attention and this government doesn’t care.” (complete article Mint Press News)

I know that I've said this before.
  • We have no allies.
  • The Arabs tell the truth when they say that they are out to destroy the State of Israel!
If we don't take these things seriously then we will only be in greater danger, Gd forbid!

This video was made with the intention of undermining Israeli morale. Am I to assume that in your case, it has succeeded?
Bring it, Bitchazz! We will fight and we will win.

I hope it makes us upgrade our defenses.

We should be constantly upgrading our defenses. But not because these miserable pisants scare us. They are sending women and children out to attack us. Brave, brave brave Palestinian warriors, huh?

Along with "Arab Enemy" I would also include American Enemy and Russian Enemy, since they can actually nuke Israel "off the map," so to speak.

My beef with Russia is a recent phenomenon, since I've been saddled with an assignment of theirs as of last week, in case you actually care.

Interesting comment about "Jewish money" when Jews favor the "right." When that money goes to the "left," would this MP complain?

I think we need to diversify our perspectives when we decide who represents us in government.

sorry, what exactly is your point here? that we are not waging violent conflict enough? I agree we should protect ourselves. what path are you advocating that would help things or that we are not already doing?

sheldan, Interesting point; you're thinking/writing from an outside perspective. I live in Israel.

Steve, the government keeps saying they want to "contain" terrorism not defeat/destroy it. That's a very dangerous problem. It just perpetuates the dangers to all of us.
