Sick and Tired of Politics, A Short Break

The Israeli political situation seems worse than it has been for years. As I wrote  not long ago, I'm pretty disgusted with the lack of idealism in MKs of today. Instead of being willing and wanting to serve the citizens of the State of Israel, idealism is far behind the opportunism and "gimme, gimme," "I want" you hear from those elected.

Just the thought of another election campaign after the worst one in my memory makes me sick.

So far, I just can't get excited and optimistic. I also haven't a clue as to which party I'll support or vote for.

For as long as I can remember, I've always loved politics and found it very fascinating. But politics have changed. Not only have campaigns become really nasty, off topic and very negatively personal, losers try to delegitimize winners. In my youth we'd call them "sore losers." Today instead of losing with dignity and recognizing that democracy doesn't guarantee the results you may have dreamt of, losers try to galvanize the judicial to jail or impeach the winner. This is happening in the United States and Israel.

Sorry for this depressing post. What do you think?

I feel sorry for the youth. They expect to get paid for things we did as volunteers. They are for sale, rather than like us idealists of olde.

my response:

These are the tactics of THE LEFT -- the political Left.

Today's political Left is the most recent incarnation
of the same political Left that gave us the
formerSoviet Union (USSR) and its KGB, which
threw Jews into JAIL because they studied
the Hebrew Language and exiled Jews to Siberia
because they wanted to move to Israel.

The political Left does not care about playing fair;
their goal is to win, BY *** ANY *** MEANS POSSIBLE.

QUICK FACTS:

The Leftist kibbutz movement has failed.

The Leftist Reform Judaism movement has failed.

The Leftist land-for-peace movement has failed.

The Leftist immigration policies are destroying Europe.

The Leftist Feminist movement has resulted in:
super-high divorce rates, fewer men willing to marry,
and declining birth-rates that are below replacement level.

BOTTOM LINE:

Leftist policies do not work.
Leftist policies consistently fail.
Leftist policies cause disaster.
Leftist policies harm people.

You "just can't get excited and optimistic", neither do I. The problem is, the pro-"no more Bibi" are getting excited about their second chance to kick out Netanyahu... So we might feel much more depressed in a few month, with a Gantz-Lapid government!!! We have no choice, but doing the right thing: make anything to make Bibi the next Prime, otherwise we might have to face a bitter reality.

The bubble of the Dati Leumi is finally bursting. Good. It's going to get a lot worse, then finally maybe that stupid flag that means nothing at point will be changed to that of Judea.
