It's sick out there and getting sicker.
Sometimes I'll hear an argument that Israel would never have been restored if it were not for the Holocaust. If that premise is true , having an Israel like this sure wasn't worth it.
The process began before the Holocaust, but the fact that the world felt "guilty" has perpetuated the Israeli, "protect me," "feel sorry for me" mentality.
Let's keep the holocaust out of it. Having an Israel, any Israel, even the highly imperfect one we do have, is important in spite of all the negative things going on 'out there'. It is our job to make our lives here meaningful and encourage others as well. How do statements like those of 'anonymous' bring us closer to redemption? And while we're at it, if it's important enough to say why be anonymous?
