An Open Letter to Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu

Defense Minister Ehud Barak has joined the chorus of foreign and Israeli politicians and media pushing Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to launch a fresh initiative to end the stalemate in the peace process with the Palestinians. Monday, March 7, Barak told a radio interviewer that in his view Palestinian independence and a peace accord would not run counter to Israel's primary security interests and urged him to publish a new peace plan right now. (Source)
Apparently this has 'inspired' the following mass e-mail response from CY Rabinovich, a CPA from Ramat Gan who happens to head the Matteh Yehudi Leumi [National Jewish Staff]. His e-mailings, usually consisting of a one-page Word file [in Hebrew], can be obtained here. Below is my translation of his latest piece.

An Open Letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
I am Chaim Yoavi Rabinovich, a simple citizen, resident of the settlement of Ramat Gan. I am a member of the Likud (Herut-Machal) since 1965 (yes, 45 years). I head the "National Jewish Staff" and for years I've been sending out two letters a week over the Internet, reaching approximately 18,000 households in the first round, and several thousand in the second. Since every household has more than one reader, the letters reach some 30,000 civilians each week, about half of whom are members of the Likud.
I put in a lot of work toward your election as Chairman of the Likud, because I thought that you were the only one in the National Camp who could wrest power away from the corrupt Kadima Party. I worked in many Knesset elections to get votes for the Likud, all in order to oust the lunatic left from power. I have no political ambitions: I'm not looking for a living, a job or any other benefit. My activities are designed solely to leave my children and grandchildren a flourishing Jewish State. All of those thousands of people that I convinced at the time to vote for the Likud and Netanyahu, have come to me with justified complaints, and I have nothing to answer them. They voted for Likud and received Meretz.
In my humble opinion, your declaration at Bar-Ilan, in which you agreed to "two states, for two peoples," was a terrible political error, because the "Palestinian" country that you established will certainly be a front for Iran - in the very heart of the Jewish State. Moreover, in the Middle East, one does not give free gifts. You made unilateral concessions, without any compensation from the Arab side. If you would have declared that you are willing to have two countries, only if the other party agrees to recognize Israel as the National Homeland of the Jewish People, I would not have agreed with you, but maybe I would have understood your position and deliberation. But to give up a cardinal policy position of principle, with nothing in exchange from the Arab side, makes no sense!

I have no doubt that if you read the book, "A Place in the Sun [Makom Tachat HaShemesh]," you would probably have avoided this irreversible step. A step explained by your confidants at the time as a tactical one, has now turned into a strategic path, which will unfortunately end up very bad for our People and our Country.
The pogrom executed by violent police on Chavat Gilad [Farm] under Barak's orders, was the last straw.

• Ehud Barak abuses the Jews of Judea and Samaria for years - and you are silent!
• The government prosecution abuses the Jews of Judea and Samaria - and you are silent!
• Ehud Barak sends 1,000 violent, masked police officers to Chavat Gilad - and you are silent!
• Strong-arm riot police aim their rifle barrels at Jews - and you are silent!
• The Police spokesman knowingly lies and claims that they shot paintballs - and you are silent!
• Magav and Yassam - Police Special Units - promote a pogrom at Gilad Farm by firing on Jews - and you are silent!
• The Minister of Police tells lies in the Knesset - and you are silent!
And in the spirit of the Book of Esther, I tell you: "If you are utterly silent at this time, relief for the Jews will come from another place, and you and your government and the country's National Camp will be passed along to a better person."
You act like there's no tomorrow, as if you are planning to end your political career after this term. If this is indeed so, I can understand your steps. But if you consider yourself a candidate for another term, it is difficult to understand the disengagement from your electorate in the Likud and the country.
In the Likud of today, there are some 130,000 registered voters. Of these, some 30,000 have specific jobs for this or that activist. About 20,000 are members who received some personal benefit, and ask themselves every day, "What did I get today by being a member of the ruling party?" And there are another 80,000 members, who want that the "National Camp" should rule, and not a leftist government. They extend their hand, to give and not to take. They will not repeat the error at the polls of voting for a National leader, and receiving a leftist chairman.
Mr. Prime Minister, you must choose between support of Barak and the support of 80,000 members who comprise the nucleus of the Likud, and another two million Jews, who share a National view for the People of Israel. My dear Mr. Netanyahu, you must choose: Barak or us! If you chose that 'genius' [Hebrew, gaon – also means 'lord'] (you should check the sources of his wealth) from Akirov Towers, forget us.
Mr. Prime Minister, if you plan to run the next election, as number two on the Atzmaut [Independence] Party's list, you may view this letter as void.
Sincerely,
Chaim Yoavi Rabinowitz, CPA - National Jewish Staff [HaMatteh Yehudi Leumi]

BDS and U.S. Law

Fred Taub explains it very clearly in this short video:

In short, the anti-Israel ideologues use fancy Leftist, human rights etc. terminology to promote an illegal, antisemitic, anti-Israel policy which promotes boycotting Israeli products. In actuality, it's illegal according to United States Law. Listen to Fred.

Tel Shiloh, Adar II, Blooming As It Should Be, B"H

Yesterday, I held the monthly Women's Rosh Chodesh Prayers at Tel Shiloh.  Women came from Eli and Shiloh.  The weather was pleasant for this outing, though we still need more rain.  Take a look at the pictures:

Rosh Chodesh Nissan will be Tuesday, April 4.  Please save the date!

Women to the Rescue

There are more pictures on my facebook page.

Yesterday I gave the Dvar Torah, short sermon at our Women's Rosh Chodesh Prayers at Tel Shiloh.  In short:
The two worst events/themes of the Book of Shoftim Judges is the story of Pilegesh HaGiva causing civil war and the repitition that "There was no king..."  And what were the tikkunim corrections, cures?
The Jewish people reunited by Benjamin men choosing from the women who danced in Shiloh on TU b'Av and Chana raising Shmuel to annoint the first kings.  Both connect women to Shiloh!
Yael Ziegler, at last night's Siyyum at Matan said the the tikkun for Judges came from Ruth, great-grandmother of David and from Chana.

Yes, women to the rescue of the Jewish People!

This HH, Worth More Than NS.10

Ya'aqov, of perfectly transliterated Hebrew, presents us with a wonderful Rosh Chodesh Adar gift, Haveil Havalim.  Havel Havelim, (as I most probably incorrectly spell it,) is a weekly magazine, or round up of Jewish or Israeli themed (jblog) blog posts from all over the world and encompasses the entire spectrum of Jewish Life and Thought.  At least it includes posts from all the jbloggers who make the effort to submit posts to the carnival.

I highly recommend that you take a look, pass around the link and read as many of the posts as you can.

Ya'aqov, thanks for your hard work and very professional job!

Does Jealously Have a Place in the Cause of Antisemitism and Anti-Israel Actions?

Is jealousy also a theme in Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice?

Davka, we're in a year of a double Adar, the month of Purim. Purim is the holiday of masks and drinking and the principle that wine takes off the mask, lets the truth come out. We keep seeing that in all of the revelations of "closet" antisemitism in all sorts of celebrities like Galliano and Gibson.

I'm studying Megillat Ester, the Scroll of Esther in Matan this year, and one of the big questions concerns why Mordechai refused to bow down to Haman.  Bowing to a person is not a major sin. There are many examples of Jews bowing to others in the Bible. Jacob bows to his brother Jacob, and Josef's ten older brothers bow to him as Pharaoh's Second in Command, when they have no idea that he's their younger brother.  Chazal, our sages, say that his refusing to bow, causing attention to himself was to force Haman to reveal his true feelings.  Mordechai had already planted Esther in the king's palace, like a mole awaiting action.

Should we be grateful that the pope has admitted that Jews aren't guilty for the death of Jesus?  Will it make a difference?  Can the Christians really erase their life-long hatred of Jews and antisemitism?

Going back in history to the very beginnings of both Christianity and Islam, I've written about them as being identity theft.  Can their histories be more a matter of "Imitation is the highest form of flattery?"  Considering their adoption of our ancient history, our forefathers, our major historic leaders, our Land and for the Christians our entire Bible it's clear that they want to be us.  Our continued existence and our successes and return to our historic Holyland is proof of their falsity, the lie of their very basic theology.

Christian and Moslem theologies are based on the supposition that they can supplant Judaism, not only in theory but in Our Land.  As we thrive we prove them wrong.  There's nothing to talk about.  That's the inherent danger in dialoging with other religions like what Rabbi Riskin and Rabbi Froman promote.

Purim and a thorough deep reading of Megillat Ester are lessons for today for Jews in our Holyland and abroad.  It is time for all Jews to return home both physically, culturally and spiritually.  Once we all do that G-d will assist with all His Might.

Chodesh Adar Tov
Have a Joyful and Good Adar.
Next month is Nissan, the Month of Miracles!

Latma Presents: The Tribal Update Brings You Peace Now's Nightmare

I'd say that Latma itself is Appease Now's Nightmare.  The la la Leftists like to think that they and they alone are talented in the theatre arts.  They consider themselves the Israeli elite.  Latma's brilliance proves them wrong in more ways than one.

Enjoy this week's brilliance...

Everyone Needs a "Plan B"

IMRA has a good message here about Israel's Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu needing a "Plan B," but he's not the only one.  To many Israeli politicians plan their statements and policies according to what they think will give them headlines, good sound-bytes, but they don't think past that.  They ignore the fact that their words may boomerang, resulting in something they really don't want.  They haven't first come up with all the possible scenarios and options and how to deal with them.

All those politicians, ideologues, diplomats, journalists, etc. ad nauseum who've invented, fantasized a world where there could be a peaceful, declawed, demilitarized, controllable, democratic Pseudostinian aka Palestinian sic State have never listened to what the Arabs have been saying all along:
The proposal by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of a state with provisional borders before the end of this year is completely unacceptable and not open for discussion,” he said.

What is acceptable, he added, “is only a fully sovereign state on land occupied in 1967 as per the national consensus, and in accordance with Arab summit and international resolutions.” (complete text)
I haven't heard any logical response or statements by the Israeli Government, politicians etc.  Their policies are pipe dreams, but dangerous ones.  The proposal for a Pseudostinian aka Palestinian sic State endangers the security, the continued existence of the State of Israel.  This "apple" we're being offered is worse than the one Snow White ate.

A Leopard Can't Change His Spots, and An Arab Terrorist Will Remain One Even With A "State"

Yesterday when I was reading some old International Herald Tribunes, I came across this article about the abuse many Afghan women suffer from their husbands and in-laws even in New York City.  One line really explained it well:
“I can’t even remember how many times I got black eyes,” said Nadia, 22, who is so fearful that she asked that her last name not be published. “I didn’t know I could call the police.”

She had thought this kind of abuse was a part of the Afghan life she had left behind.

Honestly, why would anyone think that just by changing one's place of residence, their behavior, cultural norms would change, too?

But much more quietly, a culture of domestic violence — not only by husbands but also by husbands’ families — has followed Afghan immigrants to destinations like New York, where women’s advocates say they are now discovering just how widespread the problem is.

I kept thinking of all the misguided policies of western governments, political scientists, philosophers, the media and la la Leftists who insist that by calling a country a "democracy" and instituting a system of elections, human rights abuses and totalitarian policies will just disappear.  And even worse, why do they insist that Israel will be "secure" with a Pseudostinian aka Palestinian sic State in our Land.

Whenever I think of the fact that the United States is training their police/army to be, I can't help but thinking of the movie The Siege.

It doesn't matter what pretty words U.S. President Obama, former U.K. Prime Minister Blair, Israeli la la Leftists, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, international diplomats media etc say, because the Arabs don't deny that their aim is the destruction of the State of Israel, G-d forbid!
The two-state solution will lead to Israel's collapse, the Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon said in an interview earlier this month.

"With the two-state solution, in my opinion, Israel will collapse, because if they get out of Jerusalem, what will become of all the talk about the Promised Land and the Chosen People?" Abbas Zaki told Lebanon's ANB TV on May 7.

Calling these Arab terrorist leaders and supporters president, generals and parliamentarians won't change them one iota. Just like the Afghan families in New York who physically and mentally abuse the women who marry in, as they remember as acceptable in Afghanistan, giving the Arab terrorists a state will only make it easier for them to terrorize us and worse, may G-d protect us.

May G-d grant wisdom to our leaders, so they will lead us in the right direction.

Shabbat Shalom u'Mevorach
May You Have a Peaceful and Blessed Sabbath

Nightmare! Would You Like to Be Woken By Them?

Raise the alarm!
This is the crew Bibi and Barak sent to wake up the residents of Givat Gilad.

They came to destroy!

They came to hurt Jews!

Take a good look.  I would never vote Likud, because
"Only the Likud Can..."

It's No Joke, Police Brutality in Israel Against Jews

Hat tip for the video: Shy Guy

Yes, this video above is a joke, but the police attack this week on civilians at Chavat Gilad was no joke and certainly no joking matter.

For many of us, Amona is the rallying cry to remember the horrible police brutality.  My students told me horrendous stories of being beaten in the most sensitive parts of their bodies and seeing their rabbis being thrown out of windows by the police and soldiers who came to destroy Jewish homes and terrorize the protestors.

Now Chavat Gilad has joined the list of places where the police used totally uncalled for brutality against innocent civilians. Some of the residents were asleep in their beds when arrested and handcuffed for "disturbing the peace."

The police arrived armed with dangerous riot control weapons they wouldn't dare use against Arab civilians, but there are no international bodies to protect and defend Jews.
