We are The Featured Immigrants in The Jerusalem Post

For years and years, ever since the Jerusalem Post has had its last page of the Friday Magazine devoted to olim, immigrants, I've wanted to be one of them. So, after both my husband and I found ourselves retired from regular jobs, I broached the idea to him, and he got us in.

Today, you can read "all about us." OK, not quite "all," since the writer was limited to just one thousand 1,000 words. And that column had to include some background and what we've done and do now. And again, I'd like to stress that it's about both of us.

Our lovely and talented neighbor, the professional photographer, @miriamfeygaphoto, found time to take some photos of us, since we were responsible for providing one. Here's the article:

Yisrael Medad and Batya (Beth) Spiegelman met at a 1967 Tisha Be’av “fast-in” for Soviet Jewry in Manhattan. They arrived in Israel by boat on September 5, 1970, as newlyweds.
Since that moment, the Medads have barely paused for breath in their nation-building labors. While earlier pioneers used plows, the Medads’ tools are words. Both are prolific bloggers in addition to other media- related patriotic pursuits. The passage of time has neither slowed nor jaded them...
