Looks like the two chief rabbis are trying to walk the high wire. Someone should remind them of the danger. A gentle breeze, in any direction, or someone falling into the supports holding it up, or sudden "surprises," and off they go.
If Disengagement is forbidden, bad, to be opposed, then there must be action. Remember at Har Sinai, Mount Sinai, "na'aseh v'nishma," "we will do/act and we will listen." We must do something against evil, not try to balance ourselves on the high wire.
