Arab Teens in The Forefront of Deadly Terrorism

Why?

Why are so many of the Arab terrorist, of late, so young, still school age?

Dafna Meir, HaYa"D
The two recent attacks against Jews were both by teenage Arab terrorists, the murderer of Dafna Meir, HaYa"D, and the attacker/stabber of Michal Froman, may she have a complete and speedy recovery. And this isn't the first time that the Arab terrorists are so young.
The suspect, said to be 16-year-old Morad Bader Abdullah Adais, was arrested by IDF troops and agents from the Shin Bet security service in a village near Otniel, where he was hiding out, and was taken in for interrogation. Times of Israel
The recent trend is teenage boys and adults with Israeli papers/citizenship/jobs in Israel "proper" sic. Again, I ask:
"Why?"
Concerning the young age of the terrorists, both the PMW-Palestinian Media Watch  and David Bedein's Israel Behind the News have been writing about the education/indoctrination, all supported by the United Nations and innumerable foreign supported NGOs.

Young Arabs, even in Israel, are being brainwashed to support terrorism against Israelis.

And why has the percentage of adult Arabs from Judea/Samaria gone down? I have no doubt it's because they, davka, who know how cruel and corrupt the P.A. Palestinian Authority is do not want to live under Arab rule. They compete for jobs in Israel and for Israeli businesses, and they want to maintain the status quo if not reverse the situation to how it was before the "Two State Solution" had become the mantra of world and Israeli leaders.

Think about it! What do you have to say?

Terrible Arab Terror! Yet Again

Murdered: Dafna Meir, HaYa"D,  (left)
Courtesy of the family

Yet again, an innocent Israeli, an innocent Jew was murdered by an Arab terrorist. And yet again it happened in her home. And it seems that yet again the terrorist was "working" nearby. And yet again, a child witnessed the murder of a parent.

How many times must this happen?
When will we ever learn?
When will we ever learn?
The terrible terrorist murder of Dafna Meir, HaYa"D, is so deja vu, isn't it?

And yet again, there's heated discussion on our Shiloh email group about the wisdom and safety of allowing Arabs to work here. The rule is that there is supposed to be a guard. So, there are guards, but how carefully do they guard? In all honesty not at all very well. You'll see some guy with a gun sitting or dozing or reading or studying or whatever on the sidewalk across from a building site, whether a large building or someone's house being renovated, and the guard cannot see all of the Arabs and what they're doing.

And the security here and in other Judea/Samaria communities is better than in the "Israel proper" cities where Arabs walk and work freely and can enter pretty much any place, like those who murdered in the Har Nof synagogue or shot Yehuda Glick etc.

And yet again, the world is silent, especially compared to the hew and cry when Arabs are killed here.

Yet Again

My "Alternative International Jewish Newspaper," aka HH*

*HH = Havel Havelim is the oldest, most veteran and longest-running Jewish blog carnival in the world! HH used to float from blog to blog weekly, but the past who knows how long it has been appearing floundering on my blogs, appearing every month or so. I still think that a round-up of Jewish and Israeli blog posts from all over has value and should interest people. I do describe blogging as running my own internet magazine, so it makes sense to let my readers know that there are other blogs around, ok, maybe not quite as fascinating as mine...or maybe more so.... There's a facebook group in which I keep in touch with other bloggers and those who like to read HH, click here. Years ago, I started another Jewish blog carnival, which I call the Kosher Cooking Carnival, but now I just add the kosher food posts to Havel Havelim.

I hope that long winded introduction didn't send you scrolling for something else to read. If you're still here, good. Let me know which is your favorite post or two or three, and also let me know which other blogs you like and think should be included. And if you're a blogger who'd like to host a very special Jewish carnival aka Havel Havelim, then you're blessed.  Please let me know. And also if you have a blog post to include for next time, then mail the link to me, thanks, shilohmuse@gmail.com.

To keep this blog carnival alive, I'm limiting it to 18 חי Chai=Life posts! Now, please click on the various post titles; read, comment and share, of course.

Outsiders Caused Today's Middle East Instability

Inventing "Palestine" sic isn't the only bad move by various foreigners, outsiders, which has caused major instability in the Middle East. The resulting violence has been causing mayhem and death all over the world already.

With the exception of the State of Israel, every other country and their borders were drawn by outsiders who not only had no idea what residents wanted, their culture or history, but even more dangerous, these new countries were fictitiously based. Various Arab "nationalisms" were romantic fantasies and not native, home-grown drives and ideologies. Again, only the Jewish Zionist Movement was native to the Jewish People based on the Bible, History and the Jewish Religion. There had always been Jews in the Middle East Land of Israel, even at the height of Exile. From the the Biblical Time of the Exodus from Egypt, there had always been Jews from south of Gaza to north of the Dan, from the Mediterranean Sea to east of the Jordan River. Yes, even after the Davidic Kingdom was conquered, not only didn't the Jewish People fully desert the Land, but it prayed for and planned its return. Finally, about a hundred and fifty years ago, the Zionist Movement began, the necessary tool for the rebirth of a modern Jewish State.

None of the other countries that exist in the Middle East today have such a history, people and culture, and that is why there is so much violence. Look at these maps and the anarchy caused by the helter skelter drawing of borders and inventing countries and peoples.

Historic Political Borders

1600
The two primary rulers in the region were the Ottoman and Safavid Empires. The Ottoman Empire began in the 1300s in what is now Turkey. Between 1516 and 1517, the Ottomans conquered the Arab provinces. The Safavid Empire, based in what is today Iran, lasted from 1501-1722.

1880
In the 1700s and 1800s, the once-powerful Ottoman Empire started to lose power. Great Britain, France, and Russia were on the hunt for new territories to conquer and began to interfere in the affairs and territories of the Ottoman Empire and Egypt.
1920
In 1919, the British and French implemented the 1916 Sykes-Picot Agreement and divided the Arab world into nation-states. The League of Nations recognized these borders and allotted "mandates" to the French and British to govern these states until it was determined that they were ready for independence.

2002
These are the current internationally recognized boundaries in the Middle East. Disputed boundaries are indicated with a dotted line.

ISIS Arab Muslim Terror International

Terror has no borders, or more specifically, ISIS Arab Muslim Terror is no longer "restricted," as if it ever really was, to Israel.
Attackers set off a series of explosions in a bustling shopping area of Indonesia's capital city Thursday morning in what authorities said was an imitation of last November's terror attacks in Paris that killed 130 people. Backers of the Islamic State terror group claimed responsibility
You don't see all those "warnings" from consulates and nagging aunties, busybodies etc telling people not to travel to Europe, Asia etc the way they tell people that Israel isn't safe.

credit
Many, many countries are much more dangerous than Israel. Paris has been plagued by terror of late, and random shootings in America can't be predicted of course.  And as I've written, car accidents in Israel are much more likely than a terror attack. And the murder rate in most of the world, especially the United States is higher than the chance of being injured or killed by terrorists in Israel.

Keep that thought with you...

And as a survivor of an Arab terror attack, close to twenty years ago, I want to tell you how it changed my way of looking at it. Suddenly I didn't fear my own safety, because it's clear that we have no control at all. Surviving is up to Gd. Gd decides when we die and even how. We are just pawns and must live our lives as if we have little time. And as my late mother used to say:
"I'm not afraid to go to Israel, because more people die near their homes and in the bathroom."

Israel vs Sweden: Hotobelli Earns her Votes!

I've been a bit disappointed in Likud's Tzippi Hotoveli of late, since her strong Right views seemed to have been dulled the longer she is in the Knesset and now the cabinet, but now with her on target condemnation of the Swedish Foreign Minister, Margot Wallstrom, I'm happy with her performance as Deputy Foreign Minister.
Israel summoned the Swedish ambassador on Wednesday to convey what it described as its "rage" at a call by Stockholm's top diplomat for an investigation to determine whether Israeli forces were guilty of extrajudicial killings of Palestinians.
Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom's remarks on Tuesday were the latest in a series of statements to stoke Israeli resentment that has simmered since the Scandinavian country recognized Palestinian statehood last year.
The Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem said in a statement that it called in Swedish Ambassador Carl Magnus Nesser to reprimand him over what it deemed "another statement by her (Wallstrom) that attests to her biased and even hostile attitude to Israel". (Reuters)
Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nachshon said Wallstrom would not be welcome to visit Israel. His comments served as a clarification to remarks made earlier in the day by Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely who said Israel was closing its door to visits from Swedish officials in the wake of Wallstrom’s words.
Speaking during a tour of Samaria with cadets in the Foreign Ministry diplomatic training course, Hotovely said “Israel was sending in the clearest manner possible a very sharp message to Sweden saying that it is backing terrorism and giving a tail wind to Islamic State to act throughout Europe.” (Jerusalem Post)
Hotovelli's popularity was originally due to the fact that she had seemed an uncompromising patriot supporting Jewish Life in all of the Land of Israel and sensitive to the international antisemitism which has never really waned. Recently she seemed to be playing the more moderate role, too much like Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu who has stated that he thinks that a Prime Minister should be a Centrist and not on the Right.

The Many Weapons of Israel's Enemies

The State of Israel is under attack more by benign looking Leftists and their NGO's than by Arab terrorists.
EU sponsors illegal Palestinian road to help PA annex Area C

Former US envoy recommended using NGOs to foment Palestinian protest in Israel
I can go on giving examples but do not have the time.

All these dangerous Lefties should be deported and declared persona non grata.

Does Sarkozy Know History???

I was totally dumbfounded by  Sarkozy's statement:
Sarkozy: We didn't fight the Nazis for Jews to flee France
I had thought that everyone with half a brain and minimal history knowledge knows that France capitulated to the Nazis. The Vichy Government was a moral and military disgrace. Nu, have there been any reactions to his statement?

Dangerous? Israel?

There are too many people who are afraid to go to Israel because of Arab terrorism. Is that the only danger in the world?

The murder rate and random killings in most of America is more common than terror in Israel. And traffic accidents are more deadly in Israel than Arab terror, but they don't get the same sort of headlines. And other countries are also plagued by terror, car accidents and all sorts of illnesses etc.

So why label Israel as "too dangerous to visit?"

Israel is a beautiful and wonderful country with warm caring people!

Don't be afraid to visit!!

Ordinary Americans Like Israel

Written on my phone.

I consider myself a realist, and that is why I do not depend on foreign allies. Honestly I do not think that the State of Israel has any true allies. There is no country we can ever count on and that includes the USA.

On the other hand I see a lot of sincere interest from ordinary Amrticans when they ask me where I am from. Salespeople and taxi drivers have been nice.

And I also think that the popularity of the non-establishment Trump and Sanders is proof that Americans do not agree with what is happening in the White House.

I have ferling that the more educated Americans, those exposed yo the extreme Left anti-Israel rhetotic in universities is less sympathetic to Israel.

Leave the Kids Alone!

by Yehuda Libman
translated by Janet Kasten-Friedman

Note: This is a translation of an opinion piece published in the most recent issue of the Hebrew .weekly Besheva. Full disclosure: Libman is our oldest son's brother-in-law

The security forces and the legal system should be doing some soul-searching, not the Jews of Judea and Samaria, who educate their children in Torah, social action, and love of Israel.

An open letter to the leaders of the Judea and Samaria Regional Councils:

I address you gentlemen with great respect for the important work you have done for settlement and public diplomacy. I have great admiration for your dedication to the development and growth of communities in the Shomron.
I don't know what the Defense Minister showed you when you met with him. With all due caution, I feel confident in saying: "He got you where he wants you!"
It started with pretentious proclamations that "we know everything!", and ended with calls to National-Religious rabbis and public figures to do collective soul-searching.
The ones who should now be doing some soul-searching are the people in charge of the legal and security  establishments, and their clerks, who continue in the ways of their predecessors by skewing the law against the right-wing in general,  and Judea and Samaria's Jews in particular.
Since the tragedy in Duma, a de-legitimization process has been conducted against many young men and boys. They were lumped together in one category, that of murderers and enemies. This de-legitimization was done without discernment, and without considering Jewish ethics or legal justice.
With the continued incarceration of these Jews, as the stories of brutal interrogation methods echo in the ears of the public, a massive campaign started. The public protested the using of "emergency measures" against these young men, and gave support to their families, who found themselves helplessly cut off outside a wall of secrecy and torment.
Unfortunately, the release of the "wedding dance" pictures has given a green light to collective stigmatization, and again we find ourselves to be a defamed and disgraced sector, expected to defend and justify our very existence.
Those kids grew up in the shadow of the exile and destruction of Gush Katif. They experienced or heard about the brutal scenes at Amona. The majority of them know all too well how the long arm of the Prime Minister and the Defense Minister systematically destroyed every collection of shacks throughout Judea & Samaria, while before their eyes, they see massive Arab building going up without being inconvenienced in any way. (What percentage of Arab buildings have building permits? Do you know? Does anybody know? -- JKF)
As parents and teachers of children of this age, we cannot count on the judicial and defense authorities to behave with justice or good faith. We cannot stand on the sidelines when our children are harassed by them, while the media blares incitement against us.
The present Defense Minister and all his assistants have torn out the development of new settlements by the roots. Throughout his period in office, he has blocked all natural growth in Judea and Samaria by refusing to issue building permits in existing communities. His fear of international censure and American pressure infuriates the heart of every Zionist Jew. Why should we listen to his preaching to us about the education of our children?!
The prosecutors in the Justice Ministry work day and night to expedite the conviction of every right-wing activist who gets caught up in a situation in which he must defend himself or his family. Any civilian or military action designed to strengthen the Jewish presence in the Land of Israel is quickly stymied by "legal advisors" who haunt every government ministry, security force or civil administration. As long as there is still a "Special Tasks Department" of the Justice Ministry, which was founded by the enemies of Jewish settlement from within, we have no reason to trust that establishment, nor their staff and their recommendations. That includes the responsible minister (Ayelet Shaked -- JKF) who until now enjoyed our great esteem.
The judges of the courts are only able to close their "right eye" in their infuriating judgments to destroy populated homes, synagogues, and neighborhoods standing for 15 years or more in our communities. With arrogant strokes of their pen they repeatedly reject every measure out of step with their post-Zionist ideology. Do you really expect us to trust them to protect the rights of our jailed children?!
The Israel Security Agency (Shabak) is important for the State of Israel; it has proven itself to be thorough and professional in the work for which it was created. The department working against espionage and subversion, which includes within it the "Jewish Division", has failed time after time in the last twenty years in their periodic attempts to declare the existence of a new "Jewish Underground" or "Jewish Terror Cell". Apparently there ain't such an animal!  It doesn't exist and never will! The vast majority of the struggle is the spiritual/ideological issue of the nature of the Jewish State, and the campaign is above-board and visible to all. The Shabak authorities invest energy uselessly and destructively by searching for enemies among right-wing activists, a search which has no legal or moral basis. In a well-functioning legal system, the vast majority of the actions taken against right-wing activists would be performed solely by the police. Their lack of success in this assignment (to uncover a non-existent "Jewish Underground" -- JKF) causes them to repeat operational errors which lead to frustration, whose price continues to be paid by innocent people, past and present. Our children are feeling it, body and soul.
So please, leave the education of our children to us! We are diligently and responsibly teaching them the values of the Torah and its precepts, strengthening our presence in the Land of Israel, performing acts of kindness and helping other people, mobilizing for national security and national service, and standing strong for the honor of Israel which is the honor of the Almighty.

Now, council heads, esteemed and beloved community leaders, let us all regain our composure and give a to our Prime Minister in a single voice: leave the kids alone! Return to sanity and ethical behavior. Put your own houses in order in the bodies with which you have been entrusted. Join us in fulfilling the vision of the Jewish People in the Land of Israel. May G-d accomplish His purpose through us!
