I give up with the pictures, my own photos, so I do have permission to use them...

Here I'll just copy a few things I've written over the past few weeks when I couldn't get on the computer.

Please read and share the link, thanks.

Gnite
Gd Willing a good night's sleep. I sure need one.
Bibi could never be a successful businessman; he makes a fokokt deal. Maybe he's a decent chess player, but I doubt he's good at poker.
Even though there are still dozens of hostages (or their dead bodies) held by Hamas, Bibi has emptied the jails of Arab terrorists, murderers and rapists.
I don't understand how anyone can vote for Likud with Bibi at the helm.
Gd willing the released hostages will have good lives. I certainly have nothing against them or their families, but don't forget that dozens more families are desperate to be reunited with their loved ones, too.
Bibi is the longest serving Prime Minister of Israel. He must accept the blame for this war and whatever terrorism results from the release of the terrorists.
Oy....
Gd Willing see you tomorrow.
PS if you agree with what I've written, please share, thanks

Gnite
Tonight I was at a Melave Malka, post Shabbat event where the main speakers were family members of hostages. To make it clear, these hostages aren't on the "list."
At first I told my friend that I wouldn't say anything when the attendees were invited to speak, but I finally couldn't stay silent. I view the entire situation in a historical perspective the main speakers and 90% of the audience are too young to grasp without help. I hope I gave them food for thought. More important is that I hope people seriously listened to what I said. My view isn't the usual, and try to present it factually.
I did my best.
This deal includes releasing some of the most murderous Arab terrorists ever. Adolf Eichmann was executed, so why don't we execute Arab terrorists?

Gnite
I'm totally exhausted, since I barely slept last night.
I've said all I have to say about the insanely suicidal deal...
Bibi is less a patriotic than Arik Sharon, no exaggeration.
Once my computer gets set, I'll blog.
Tired.... all so tired.
Gd Willing see you in the morning

Gnite
Depressing time
The State of Israel is world leader in turning victory into defeat.
That's what we're suffering from today. As I think it was Kishon who wrote "So Sorry We Won."
That was after the 1967 Six Days War. Instead of reveling celebrating the great miracle Gd gave us and thankfully settling our precious Land, the government treated it as a plague, a burden. The prevailing MISCONCEPTION was that we could trade it for peace with our Arab neighbors.
The government only expanded Jerusalem borders and the Golan. The Jordan Valley was settled to grow summer fruit and vegetables for export. The same for northern Sinai, but Menachem Begin destroyed that.
The government also refused to call the Land by it's Jewish Biblical names. Instead of Judea, Samaria I live on the Westbank, territories "shtachim."
Today's mess is a continuation of that.
Bibi was raised by Revisionist Jabotinsky following parents, but he wants the approval and acceptance of the Leftists and the Americans. He doesn't have the guts to be the leader of a sovereign State of Israel.
History will judge him badly.
Gd Willing we'll survive. The proposed deal is horrendously dangerous. It's an invitation for more attacks and hostage taking.

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #36- Dangerous Surrender!

As a student of the Bible/Tanach, most recently Prophets/Navi, that's the message. Gd will save us if we do the right thing. That's how we won the 1967 Six Days War and the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

I kept suspecting, fearing that Israel's Prime Minister Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu would fold under American pressure, but I prayed that he'd be opposed by other Likud leaders and coalition ministers. Unfortunately, he and all but one of the ministers failed to oppose it.

Just Otzma Yehudit's Itamar Ben-Gvir opposed American rule over the State of Israel. He's the only reliable leader. That's it. I'm hoping to hear angry voices from Likud backbenchers. So far, silence.

Netanyahu has given up our sovereignty and totally buckled. He let the USA decide our defense policy.

Biden announces Israel's truce with Lebanon with hope of paving pathway for Gaza ceasefire

I'm not interested in his fancy oratory. I look at facts and policy. The next war in the north will be a gazillion times worse. It's clear. This has been happening ever since Bibi has been ruling. Read my other articles, please. I don't have time to write more now.

This is what I wrote last night on facebook:

Gnite

It shouldn't surprise you that I'm beyond, angry, miserable, scared and worse.
I'm not the only Israeli feeling totally betrayed by our government coalition. Bibi is just what I've been saying for years, a "closet Leftist." That's definitely the most polite term I can use.
You can Google what I wrote on Shiloh Musings in 2008 which I titled Impressive*. FB blocks the link and hides....
I don't care what spin Netanyahu puts on what he agreed to, but it's a surrender. A military surrender and a surrender of Israeli sovereignty.
Why hasn't the coalition crumbled?
Why isn't the Likud demanding Bibi's resignation?
Why aren't the families of our dead and wounded soldiers out in the streets shouting?
The deal, or whatever you want to call it a travesty.
It's a danger to the survival of the State of Israel.
I'm beyond angry.
What do you think?
If you agree with what I've written, please share.

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #35- Bibi's Foolishly Playing to the Democrats

We've all heard the saying that trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results is a definition of insanity and the most accurate way of describing Prime Minister Binyamin Bibi Netanyahu's security policies --how he ends wars--

That's why we're in the mess we've been in the past year plus. The mess is the war. We've been attacked every year or two since early into Bibi's reign as Israel's Prime Minister. I don't understand why so many, otherwise brilliant, people vote for him, trust him and politically worship him. Netanyahu has been giving us a 21st century appeasement policy.

We haven't won any of these wars; we just end them, first cousin to surrender. Bibi claims that "we showed the Arabs that we're stronger, can't push us around." Duh?!? It has never worked. If it's the right policy there wouldn't be fighting a dangerous war for Israel's survival since October 7, 2023. It's clear. I'm a CPA's daughter and 1+1=2. This isn't even Second Grade Arithmetic. Why are so many people dumb when it comes to politics?

And now I keep hearing that we're letting the Americans, those deceitful allies, sic, negotiate a deal/ceasefire with Hizbolla. Beyond insanity, these are the Democrats, the party of Obama, AOC, Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris and Biden, who's no better than any of the others.

The tough war savvy crew Donald Trump has been nominating is certainly horrified. Horrified because we're not showing any war smarts, none of the heroism Trump is old enough to remember well from 1967.

If I sound depressed, it's because I am depressed. IMHO Bibi is only making things worse. When Trump tells Israel to finish the war, he means WIN IT!

I know what you want to ask me. "Who should replace Bibi?" Right? Honestly, I want to postpone elections as long as legally possible, because Israel can't afford raising the level of competition/disagreement/debate among citizens. If Netanyahu would only resign from all public offices, then the next in line in Likud would become Prime Minister. No elections needed.

Our soldiers are fighting hard, not only against Arab terrorists but also against some bad policies of the higher ups, those above the glass ceiling. Elections would cause too many internal fights.

I know that some people are certainly upset that I've written this. But I can't stay quiet, sorry. If you agree with me, please share this post, thanks. I'm looking forward to your comments, too.

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #34- Praying for The USA... Hope It Helps

This morning I joined a few hundred people at Ancient Shiloh for special Morning Prayers for America organized by Mateh Binyamin.

Nothing political was said... though we all know very well that elections for US President are in just a couple of days. And there's a very big difference between the two candidates. The tension in America between the two sides is probably the worst in American history.

As soon as I got down to the Basilika, where the prayers, were to be held, Josh Hasten interviewed me. You can read the JNS article here.

Not everyone was American. The USA is a world power, so its president influences the entire world. We all need Gd's help.

I couldn't take good photos of the prayers, since the Women's Section was in the back, rather hidden away. Prayers are slightly different in Israel. Birkat Kohanim, The Priestly Blessing was said.

Many prayers were sung out loud together. It was very inspiring for sure.

Ancient Shiloh was chosen because its a very traditional site for Jewish Prayer. The Tabernacle, forerunner of the Holy Temple, stood in Shiloh for close to four hundred 400 years. And of course the Biblical Chana prayed for a son in Shiloh, promising that she'd dedicate him to serve the Jewish People in Shiloh, if Gd gives her a son. She was subsequently blessed with a son, Shmuel/Samuel who led the Jewish people and crowned the first two Jewish Kings, Saul and David.

To strengthen the minyan some yeshiva high school classes joined us. After the prayers were over, the men and boys sang and danced.

Considering that Shiloh has been my "home town" for most of my life, I was overjoyed at the choice of location. All I had to do to get there was walk down the hill for under half an hour.

It's no secret, from what I write here on my blog and on Facebook, that I'm very worried about Israel's war for survival and the American Presidential race. Add to that the intolerance of the ironically named "Liberals" for any other view and their strong hold on media here and abroad... yes, we're in a very challenging time. Prayers are certainly needed.

I'm not going to even attempt to predict which political party will win in American elections this week. Just one thing for sure-- the loser will claim  that the winner cheated. Our prayers today are to make America and Israel better more tolerant countries, where people respect each other and election results, Gd willing.

Following are more photos from today.

Yisrael Ganz, Mateh Binyamin

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #33- 讗讞专讬 讛讞讙讬诐 After the Tishrei Holidays 5785

This War Musing is adapted from last night's "gnite" on Facebook. As some of you know, I write a message, rather unplanned every night before I go to bed. The words just come out, and it's as if my tapping fingers have minds of their own. Even when I sit down with a plan... I discover a very different message appearing on the screen. Please feel free to comment and share

Gnite
It's now 讗讞专讬 讛讞讙讬诐 after the Tishrei Holidays. Most of the Jewish month of Tishrei is full of Jewish Holidays, Rosh Hashannah, Yom Kippur, Succot and Simchat Torah. Outside of Israel there's an extra day of Simchat Torah which is followed immediately by Shabbat, so those who observe Torah won't reach this milestone until three stars show Saturday night.
Last year's Simchat Torah was a nightmare. A Nazi like pogrom took place in Southern Israel. Reservists were called up on the holiday all over the country. Others just rushed out to help even though they hadn't been called.
Terrible tragedies and cruelty along with legendary heroism simultaneously.
Israeli military failed horrendously in every way. But the Israeli and Jewish People have been totally amazing.
During the previous year, there began attempts to reform our Judicial system, and our Defense Ministry needs reform, too, from the top.
We're still at war. More of our brave wonderful soldiers are dead and wounded. We must defeat the enemy. They must surrender, and we must resettle Gaza. Gd willing...
Please

During Succot there was an important event promoting return to Jewish life in Gaza. Disengagement was a terrible mistake, as were the Oslo Accords. If you've been reading this blog and my statements/comments on Facebook, you know that I'm totally disgusted with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu's pledges, in Congress, the UN General Assembly ad nauseum that we're not returning to live there.

Bibi is the Centrist/Leftist that he unabashedly pledged to be when I heard him speak at the International Jewish Bloggers Conference in 2008. This is ignored and denied even by those who were there with me. I know he said it; his policies prove it. That's why I don't vote for the Likud. I choose my party, election by election according to policies.

I'm not married to a political party. Too many people vote for a specific party religiously. I don't. I follow my principles, not sentiment. Menachem Begin lost me when he gave all of the Sinai, the best buffer zone imaginable, to Egypt, including destroying all Jewish communities there, in exchange for promises of peace. How could it be peace if Jews are forbidden to live there? Another thing for you to think about... Saadat didn't want Gaza.

Netanyahu wasn't part of the anti-Disengagement movement, which makes it no real surprise that he keeps saying that Israel isn't returning to live in Gaza, Gush Katif. He hasn't changed. Bibi's a Leftist who recites Right wing slogans. Even during this war, his government has destroyed Jewish homes instead of expanding Jewish communities. As Prime Minister he has destroyed many Jewish communities and neighborhoods. I look at policy, not slogans.

Policing a territory or country doesn't work, if you're not living there. The USA fled Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan... when their policing didn't work. The same happened to Israel in Lebanon, and now Biden has made it clear that he has a policy plan for "after the war." The USA will establish a Palestinian State and police it. By what right?

I'm an old lady. I've been in Israel since 1970. During the 1973 Yom Kippur War, I was a young mother of two in Jerusalem and felt that there was something very suspicious in the actions of the United States. I envisioned them as planning for a draw, victory for neither Israel or Egypt allowing the Americans to enter and rule. It took a few years until the truth came out. The USA was involved in the war before the first bullet was fired, hiding it all from Israel. They have admitted it. Bruce Brill's book Deceit of an Ally was approved by American censors. Brill's memoir proves that my suspicions were on the right track. Yes, I've written about this before.

Shabbat's soon, and I must finish this, even if there's more to say. I'm looking forward to reading your reactions...

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #32- Har Habayit, Temple Mount- What Took Me So Long?

Selfie with me and my husband

On Sunday, during Succot, I ascended Har Habayit-The Temple Mount for the second time. I'm embarrassed to say that it was only the second time. Here's something I wrote about my first, though for some reason the photos don't show. In another post, you can see the photos, though none of me.

A few days ago, I decided that I just had to ascend Har Habayit. One year of war. The world is so against us. The physical spiritual center of Judaism is Har Habayit, Jerusalem. I felt the need to be there. When my husband said he planned on ascending this Sunday, I told him that I'd be accompanying him.

Honestly, although I'm totally in favor of Jews ascending Har HaBayit, I'm not a "regular." Decades ago, my husband had had some "bad" experiences, which caused me some trauma. I did go a few years ago with friends but found the "security" inspection and unpleasant atmosphere for Jews too disturbing. My hang-ups...

On Sunday, it was a different world. I didn't have to go with an empty bag. It's not that those in our "group" took out siddurim* for prayers, but if we had siddurim we didn't have to leave them outside of security.
Jews aren't allowed to wander freely around Har Habayit. We're grouped by the entrance staff and then escorted by a few policemen. Most or possibly all of ours were Jewish. The policeman in charge was definitely religious. Not only was he wearing a kippah, but he had long peyot**.

One person in our group led some prayers, something that only a few years ago would have been forcibly stopped. The only response was that we were told that our time up on the Holy Temple Mount was timed, and that standing still meant that we wouldn't get the "full tour."

Friends of mine, who ascend frequently, have been saying how much more pleasant and spiritual it now is. I now agree and hope to ascend more frequently. There is no place in the world holier for Jews. The First and Second Holy Temples were up there. We pray fervently that the Third Temple will be built 讘诪讛讬专讛 讘讬诪讬谞讜 speedily in our time...

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #31-Which Jews Would You Put in The Top 50?

I was disgusted when I saw the Jerusalem Post's #1

In response I wrote a letter to the editor. After waiting a week and not seeing it published, I decided to blog it and welcome your responses.

Horrified

When I saw the photo of Doug Emhoff on the cover of the Rosh Hashanah magazine of the Jerusalem Post, I felt sick. It took me two days to even open the magazine. Emhoff? Really? What were the editors of the Jerusalem Post thinking of? The guy married an ambitious biracial/biethnic non-Jewish woman who's running for President of the USA.

How does that make him more special, more important than our IDF soldiers risking their lives, health to defend the State of Israel?

How does that make him more special than the survivors of the horrendously cruel attacks by our perverse enemies on October 7, 2023?

How does that make him more special than the Israelis whose homes and communities were destroyed by the Gazan Hamas and their allies?

How does that make him more special than the brave Israelis still marrying and having children during this horrendous war?

Need I go on?
Busha! You should be embarrassed!!

I couldn't read that magazine. After two days I turned the page and quickly slammed it shut. I've worked in advertising, and the first rule is that your cover should make people want to read the magazine/book whatever.

Jerusalem Post, you've failed. How could you promote Doug Emhoff and his wife against Donald Trump who had been the most pro Israel USA President ever? You're playing politics promoting the most unabashed anti-Israel candidate ever!

Hamas/Gaza War Musings #30, Post Rosh Hashanah, Disturbing...

Here is another of Facebook my pre bedtime musings...
Before I sat down to write this one, I had totally different thoughts concerning what I'd write. But surprisingly different words began to appear on my screen.
Please read it, and tell me what you think, thanks.

Gnite
Three days offline, no news, no travel, too much food...
Two days of Rosh Hashannah, shofar blasts, prayers...
Then a day of Shabbat...
Time and meals with friends, learning...
Almost half a week, we could almost pretend it was a regular year...
But we were on alert... could there be another massive attack?
What's going on in the rest of the country?
How are our children? Soldiers?
Will we be inundated with bad, tragic news once Shabbat ends?
When will we win this war? Destroy the enemies? See them surrender?
I feel more worried by the minute...
It's preposterous and dangerous to negotiate with someone who wants to destroy you 馃槖
Get real!
On the Jewish calendar it's a new year. 5785 转砖驻"讛
We must pray and fight and work hard to change things for the better. The world wants us destroyed. They are only concerned about the safety and health of Hamas, Hizbolla, Gaza and Lebanon. Do you hear condemnations of those who murdered, raped, captured innocent Israelis? We have no reliable allies. We must stop asking the USA, UN and others for help.
It's time to unify, pray to Gd and fight to win.
