Democrat's Left Giving Trump 2020

Not that anyone really listens to me, but I see American political trends very clearly from far away in Israel.

The Democrats have been moving to the Radical Left, while middle America and even the Hispanics, who are doing everything legal and illegal to enter the USA, prefer old time family values and conservative morality.

What do you think? Where do you live? Reply in comments, thanks.

Since today’s topic is the political Far Left,
these quotes are relevant:

Dennis Prager said:

“The biggest increase in anti-Semitism
in the last 10 or so years has come
from the Left. Just ask young Jews
who wear yarmulkes or are vocally
pro-Israel on most American college campuses.”

James Kirchick (a Brookings Institution fellow) said:

“For a growing number of Progressives,
anti-Semitism has become an ideological
, as central to their political
identity as the Universal Basic Income,
Green New Deal, a 70-percent marginal
tax rate, and free higher education.

These progressives, of course, cannot
openly say this. Anti-Semitism is bad.
Some of their best friends are Jews.
The Holocaust happened.

So they need to redefine anti-Semitism out of existence…”

Mordechai Nisan [author of
The Crack-Up of the Israeli Left] said:

“It is good business to be a Leftist.

You get funded from foreign anti-Semites,
you get to travel around the world,
speak on distinguished panels,
enjoy extensive media coverage,
and receive praise from a variety of prominent
people and noteworthy organizations.

Fame, though short-lived, is an attractive
commodity, though tarnished by infamy forever.”

Why the Far Left hates Israel:

Mr. Jonathan S. Tobin
[Editor in Chief of JNS] said:

“In the progressive [Leftist] milieu,
the Jewish state is viewed as racist
by definition, and the belief in
Intersectional Theory, which falsely
claims the Palestinian war on Israel’s
existence to be morally equivalent
to the struggle for civil rights
in the United States, is widespread.”

It’s more than just a parade for Israel
by Jonathan S. Tobin, 2019 June 3

“If the occupation [of the West Bank] ended
tomorrow, Israel would still have a nationalist
and religious identity at odds with the Left’s
broadly post-nationalist and post-religious vision.”

The American Left’s Abandonment of
Both Israel and the Jews

Eric Rozenman said:

“The Bolsheviks and their heirs
[the Far Left] despised small European
nationalities, as well as religion.

So Jews as a people are a double target.

Mr. Charlie Kirk
(a Conservative activist) said:

“They [the political Leftists] hate the idea
that certain countries can be better than others,
and Israel is one of the greatest success stories
in history of the world.

The [political] Left does not
want those success stories to exist.”

Zach Goldberg said:

“As Jews have become [symbols] of whiteness
in the Liberal political imagination — to
the point that Israel is considered a
white state despite having a slight
nonwhite majority — they have come to be
associated with an oppressor class.”

Rafaella Gunz said:

“The thing is, too many (goyim)
Western Leftists want to see everything as
black and white, oppressed vs. oppressor.

Many do not understand the nuance of
the Israel/Palestine conflict.

And what’s worse, many don’t care
to understand the full story

I was actually blocked by a feminist page
for trying to explain why comparing
Israel’s military tactics to full-on
genocide is a slippery slope.

Despite saying numerous times that
I’m critical of the Israeli government’s
policies, I was banned and had all
my comments deleted.

When other Jews on the thread asked
why I was banned, the admin entirely
misconstrued everything I said.”

Two More reasons why the Far Left hates Israel:

The Far Left hates the USA,
and Israel is an ally of the USA.

The Left is the ideological heir of
the former Soviet Union (USSR),
which hated Israel.

Dennis Prager said:

“…Leftism is rooted in feelings,
not reason or truth. From Karl Marx
to Bernie Sanders, Left-wing preference
for Socialism over Capitalism
is entirely rooted in emotion.

Only Capitalism creates wealth.
Socialism merely spends what capitalism creates.

Do Leftists Believe What They Say?
by Dennis Prager, 2019 February 19

Dennis Prager said:

“Why does the Left lie?
There are two main reasons.

One is that Leftists deem their goals
more important than telling the truth.

For example, every honest economist knows
women do not earn 20 percent less money
than men for the same work done for the
same amount of hours under the same conditions.

Yet Leftists repeat the lie that women
earn 78 cents for every dollar men earn.

Why any employers would hire men when
they could hire women and get the same
amount of work done at the same level of
excellence for the same number of hours
while saving 20 cents on the dollar is
a question only God or the sphinx could answer.”

Dennis Prager said:

“Here's more evidence the Left does not
believe its global warming hysteria:

How many Leftists with beachfront property
anywhere in the world have sold it?

If Leftists really believe global warming
will cause the oceans to rise and soon
inundate the world's coastal areas,
why would any Leftist not sell his
beachfront home while he could not only
make all his money back but make a profit as well?”

Dennis Prager said:

“Another example of left-wing
rhetoric Leftists don't act on:

The Left tells us that colleges are
permeated by a Rape Culture, yet
virtually all Left-wing parents
send their daughters to college.

If you were to believe any place has
a culture of rape, where 1 in 4 or 5
women is raped or otherwise sexually
assaulted, would you send your 18-year-old
daughter there? Of course not.

So how do any Left-wing mothers or
fathers send their daughters to college?

The answer would seem to be they know
it's a lie — but that doesn't matter,
since the Left views telling the truth
as incomparably less significant than
combating sexism, sexual assault, misogyny,
toxic masculinity and patriarchy.”

through ignorance (willful or otherwise)
by making inappropriate analogies.”

Hopefully, the majority of American voters are common sense people and will give the Win to Trump because the Dem party has gone off the rails and is so far left that they have undone themselves. We are now in the strangest era ever everywhere where H's Laws are being discarded and many have lost their minds, so this is really the spiritual battle against the Creator. Woe unto those who have gone to war against the Almighty.

Nice variety of sources.

Mr. Cohen said...

Batya, thank you, your praise means a lot to me.

Anonymous, what you say SHOULD be true,
but it is not so simple, because THE LEFT
has the support of:

almost-100% of the news media,

almost-100% of the entertainment industry

almost-100% of the educational and academic world,
from 5-year-old kindergarten students
to 27-year-old PhD students

and much, much, much more.

Batya said...

a, Mr Cohen, but the media can't understand why the people don't agree with them.

sheldan said...

You are probably right. But the bad thing is we (or maybe I) can't feel good about it.

Again, it's because Trump is a jerk. He may have the right policies and the other party is not an alternative, but somehow it just doesn't feel right. And this is because Trump is unlike any previous president. At least before 2016 we did not have a choice where no matter how we voted, we were in you-know-what. (That would also have been true if Hillary had won.)

I remember a bumper sticker in 1993 that read, "Is it 1996 yet?" I know how that feels. I think even those who are reluctantly supporting Trump (because they hate the alternative) are also asking themselves, "Is it 2024 yet?"

Batya said...

Sheldan, my advice is:
"Grow up. Vote for the message/policy not the packaging."
If you care about Israel, there's only Trump.

sheldan said...

Batya, that is insulting. I respect your views, and I would hope that you respect mine. I have the right to say that I hate the messenger while liking some of the message.

Grow up?! Yes, it's "my blog," but I thought that we could agree to disagree about Trump the man. I'm wondering if this is the case anymore. If this is your attitude, I will unsubscribe if I have to. I don't need any "advice" about how to feel if I care about Israel. Regardless, I wish you well.
