Hamas/Gaza War Musings #49: Life During War in 17 Syllables, Haikus

I've been writing Haikus for years and have a facebook group I call #morningcoffeehaiku. Pretty much every morning, while drinking my coffee, I describe my feelings in haiku form. That means three rows of text. The first has five syllables, second has seven, and the third five syllables. Writing these haikus has trained my mind to express myself in minimal words.

Here are a few, most recent first:

Chodesh Tammuz Tov
pray and fight with equal zeal
we all have a job

VICTORY's needed
before celebrations start
enemies laughing

war's hibernating
at least Iranian front
I must "seize the day"

such confusing times
Iran is only one front
we're still in danger

Thank Gd for so much
though the road is much further
for true VICTORY

looking for humor
while world wants to destroy us
Jewish survival

wartime exhaustion
but sans VICTORY can't end
being realistic

victories end war
simmering is just deadly
we need VICTORY馃嚠馃嚤

summer finally
talking about the weather Can I ignore war?

This one i do not agree with. You wrote..'looking for humor
while world wants to destroy us'.

No!!... Many people around the world, who are not Jews, fight and speak about the Jewish rights in their Holy Land.

Many Christians, and others and also Muslims, stand up for your rights in your land, Israel.
See this man speak..

I admire and respect him. I am not a Jew, but I stand up for the Chosen People, chosen by God to show light to the nations.
God bless you and God bless Israel, and good peoples too around the world.

Jewish survival

Thank you for giving your thoughts. I'm now watching/listening to the youtube. Did you notice that he starts with a "joke?" It's a form of survival, strength.
I appreciate your support and honesty.

Your very welcome Dear Batya.

I follow no religion... as i feel religions are man made.

I just follow the one and ONLY God, Hashem.

He is, He was, and He always will be... Amen..
God bless you Batya, and your family, and may wars in end.. soon... Please God...
and may we soon see the coming of the true Mashiach, as Israel waits, and i too, for come He will, and May He have mercy on all the world, with that i mean, all those who follow the only ONE God, of all peoples, (even as others ignore and make up their own), but to each their own. May their eyes open to the truth of the One True Creator, HaShem..amen.
Have a beautiful wonderful safe week, Amen.
