They sacrificed Gush Katif and the northern Shomron in order to keep the rest of Yosh. Now they're interested in sacrificing Migron and certain other communities in order to keep the rest of Yosh. You can see where this logic leads.<br />I suppose Ma'ale Adumim and Ariel are too big and populous to ever be sacrificed.<br /><br />The contrast with the Golan is very important.
