They fully deserved to get shot after they resisted (and sought to kill Israeli soldiers who boarded their ship and they deserve NO compensation from Israel. Period.

Its a shame the Israeli government isn't offering the money to heroic Israeli marines who paid the price to defend their country! But they offer it to anti-Semites who won't change their hate of the Jewish people and their state simply because Israel is nice to them.

There are some people whose company you should definitely shun as a matter of principle. The Turkish rebuff has sent Israel a clear message. We can only hope the Israeli government takes the hint and acts accordingly.NormanFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03365459073293643108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7040911.post-57027598920290324252014-02-12T21:40:46.176+02:002014-02-12T21:40:46.176+02:00Norman, as you know well, I've been saying all...Norman, as you know well, I've been saying all along that we're the ones who should be demanding compensation and apologies from the Turks. And that is an unhappy and undeniable fact.

And playing along to the one of the ugliest anti-Semitic stereotypes in the world doesn't help matters. When its reported Israeli emissaries have been authorized to offer up to $23 million dollars to secure Turkey's putative goodwill. I think Israel should have nixed rapprochement with Turkey from the outset.

I call things as I see 'em! And quite frankly, the Jewish people deserve far better than that - when they begin demanding it and also when they finally get leaders who don't continually shame them by doing stupid things!

Steven Plaut made a good point today by saying that Israel should be conditioning normalization of relations with Turkey, on the latter ending its illegal occupation of Famagusta. Turkey of course will "normalize" relations with a deceased Israel.

This is not to excuse the Turks - reconciliation with them is simply not worth the time, the effort, the money or the humiliating rebuffs Israel has experienced at their hands. Israel can build a good relationship with countries that respect it - Turkey is not on that list.
NormanFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03365459073293643108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7040911.post-32983584715666271932014-02-12T10:46:14.799+02:002014-02-12T10:46:14.799+02:00Norman, how could you say that?

About half of them live in Israel. The goons on the top of the pyramid running the Israeli government and who are involved in this decision are a handful or two of Israelis who are not very Jewish in anything they practice.

So I will chime in with what other talkbackers have already said to you: shut your trap when you smear our people.

You deserve that. One has to conclude the Jews are among the most repulsive people on earth.

Where is the Jewish honor and self-respect? Jews seem to revel in national humiliation, which they have raised to an art form. Since they have no respect for themselves, they should not be surprised at the contempt in which they're held by others.

And now the Turks have raised the price! What's the lesson here? There are some things in this world not even Jewish money can buy! Such as reconciliation with Jew-hating Turkey.NormanFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03365459073293643108noreply@blogger.com
