Israel's Intelligence Minister, How Intelligent?

This algemeir news headline really got me:

How much real intelligence does it take to understand that no matter what Israel offers, there can't be real peace with the Arabs in this generation, if not century?

In a recent interview with The Algemeiner Israel’s Minister of Intelligence, International Relations and Strategic affairs, Yuval Steinitz said he was “not confident” that a deal between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, in the current ongoing negotiations, would bring peace to the region.
“You know, many Israelis are quite suspicious about the peace process, because they ask themselves, ‘What kind of peace are we going to get?’” he said, explaining that Palestinian incitement against Jews and Israelis has raised concern about the long term intentions of the Palestinian Authority.
Steinitz must be familiar with the phrase "read my lips," and if so must know that it's of great importance to actually pay attention to what our enemies say when the Americans aren't coaching them and trying to program them to recite the proper "peaceful mantra."
Abbas’ Idea for Israeli Security: No IDF Arrests of Terrorists
Abbas is doing a great job to make the PA non-existent. He claims cooperation with the IDF is great but the IDF must stop entering Arab cities to arrests terrorists. Even Livni is not that naïve to agree.
The type of change, total ideological and cultural change that would be needed in Arab society for a true peace would take a long time.  It's not like changing an outfit of clothes.  It's more like dying one's hair.  In a few weeks after dying hair you can see the original color in the roots.  The Arab terrorists may say the right words at the ceremony and dress in very sophisticated western clothes for the cameras, but in a short period of time, the grey or roots will show, and Israel again would suffer from terrorism.

Fatah praises terrorist shooter of 9 year-old: "The sniper of Palestine was here... He left a signature of [real] men"
After a nine-year-old girl was shot in the Israeli town of Psagot in the West Bank yesterday, the administrator of an official Fatah Facebook page praised the terrorist shooter. He related the attack to a sniper attack that killed an Israeli soldier in Hebron two weeks ago. Writing on behalf of Fatah, the page administrator praised "the sniper of Palestine" who began his work in Hebron (the shooting of the soldier), passed through El-Bireh (the shooting of the girl), and - according to the Fatah Facebook page administrator - will continue in more places in the future: PMW
Israelis must stop lying to themselves.  Yes, we must look and listen clearly to what the Arabs are saying to each other, not just the fancy speeches and "interpretations" by Lefts, politicians, media and foreigners.  We have too much to lose.
