What's Really Behind All the Anti-Israel Boycotts?

Food for thought...

Dry Bones, European Boycott

Think about it.  It doesn't seem to be a moral point.  Europeans are typical of the others who look for any excuse to boycott Israel.  There's an agenda behind the pompous pronouncements.

They certainly don't believe in freedom of choice, free market etc. because they literally terrorize people who defy them, like entertainers who had contracted to perform in Israel.  The latest of cancel, just days before his performance is Eric Burdon, former lead singer of the British band The Animals.  Those actions are fascist, certainly not peace-loving or liberal.

Another example is the total hypocrisy of the countries that have banned shechita, the proscribed way of Jewish animal slaughter.  Every single one of those countries permits hunting.  Now there is nothing more cruel to animals than hunting.  If those countries really cared about animal rights, hunting would be forbidden.  But they don't care about animal rights nor cruelty to animals.  They just want the Jews to leave their country.  That's called racism, anti-Semitism.

And another point.  How many countries in the European Union, for example, still rule over various "colonies" in other parts of the world?  Just a few years ago Great Britain went to war with Argentina over the Falkland Islands, which are next to Argentina.  Britain rules that piece of land, and there's no reason they should be there at all.
Sovereignty over the Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas in Spanish) is disputed between Argentina and the United Kingdom.
The British claim to sovereignty dates from 1690, and the United Kingdom has exercised de facto sovereignty over the archipelago almost continuously since 1833. Argentina has long disputed this claim, having been in control of the islands for a brief period prior to 1833. The dispute escalated in 1982, when Argentina invaded the islands, precipitating the Falklands War.
Israel and the Jewish People have a long documented history of thousands of years of continued connection to the Land of Israel including what's sometimes called the "West Bank," Judea and Samaria.

None of the countries preaching "morality" to us have histories as long as ours.  We count our history in millennia (thousands of years,) while they at most count in centuries (hundreds of years.)

There is only one way to end these attacks on our country, our sovereignty and right to be here is for the Israeli Government to declare all countries participating as enemies.  Their diplomats should be sent packing, and our ambassadors should come home.

This is written by a friend of mine. I agree. Anti-Semitism is behind the European Union's decision, just as anti-Semitism was behind the 1975 UN declaration that 'Zionism is Racism.' WE have no partners for peace!!! WE gave up Gaza, throwing out 10,000 Israeli citizens who had built homes with government support (on land historically belonging to the Jewish People for; at the time of the Talmud many Jews lived in Gaza!!) in order to get peace. What did we get? ROCKETS! Yours truly has lived through innumerable rocket attacks and several 'small' wars. IF/ WHEN we ever (I don't believe we'll ever...) have someone on the opposite side a negotiating table wanting peace and NOT our destruction, then tell me you want to ban products from 'conquered' (in my religious opinion 'liberated') areas (what the EU calls 'pre-67 borders....) if we refuse to deal with them…. I don't see America rushing to give back the vast swaths of land CONQUERED and ROBBED from Native Americans....they Sioux were put on a death march and thousands dropped like flies, removing them from their ancestral homes, but the West has short memories!!! Check out ‘Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee’ on good ole Wicki if you don’t know this horrific part of American history!!!

Eric Burdon isn't boycotting Israel - his manager reported that he received so many death threats after he announced his intention to play there that he was afraid to go to Israel. So the BDS thugs "won" by threatening lives - what a bunch of scum! By Tony George

Netivotgirl, thanks for the comment.

a, whether "under duress" or for ideology the result is the same. Burdon is cooperating/supporting the boycott. Other celebrities defied the threats.

"They just want the Jews to leave their country."

Anti-semitism , in my opinion is supernatural. G-d Himself is shaking up the Jews in Galut. His prophesy said it would be this way. The rotten souled Europeans and Muslims are a whip in His hand. They will receive their recompense.

I strongly and wholeheartedly agree with everything in your post except "there is no reason that they (Britain) should be there (Falklands) at all." I would have to disagree with that statement. The Falkland Islanders are British, and they want to maintain their association with Great Britain and they have the right to self-determination. Besides geographical proximity to the Falklands, which does not count at all, I can't see where Argentina has any basis to claim those islands against the will of the British Citizens who live there. Argentina has never really settled or governed the Islands, but Britain has done both, continuously, for hundreds of years, and before Argentina even came into being as a nation.

As Anonymous has said above, I agree with your post but please do not include The Falkland Islands as a comparison. It was uninhabited land when settled by the British, and the Argentinians have no more claim to the Islands than the British, the Spanish outpost there having been vacated through choice in the 19th century. The Argentinians as a nation, themselves mainly descendants of Spanish, Italian and German immigrants of the last 150 years.

a1, I don't know about that, though you can read it from the prophets.

a2, and Londonmale, European colonization of other places is a lot more problematic than Jews returning home.

I totally agree with labeling products. All products from Europe and the US should require a Nazi Swastika on it and a total ban on European and US Cans.
Israel needs to have a Crash Emergency program to develop the IAI Lavi Fighter and reverse engineer any product that is imported.
Israel needs to have an Emergency Aliyah program that will entail both Nefesh B’Nefesh and Israeli family contacting their family members still living outside of Israel. Have TV commercials in Hebrew telling Israelis that it is a matter of life and death to get home. Have TV commercials in English reminding Jews about Kristallnacht and the riots in the streets. Have all Israeli Airline personnel in full Air Force Combat Uniform and Armed and have them interviewed on TV.
That should wake someone up.

Nice plan, Yakov, thanks for contributing it.
