It Won't Help To Throw Us in Shiloh to The Sharks

Israel's Left, well entrenched in Tel Aviv, Haifa and their suburbs keep trying to pacify the Arabs with promises of Shiloh, Migron, Ofra and other Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria etc.   But the Arabs aren't interested.  They want Tel Aviv, Ramat Aviv, Haifa and the other Leftist areas.  That's where they had once lived, not in Shiloh!

"It won't help to throuw us in Shiloh to the sharks"

I do not really understand why you refer to disengagement from the occupied territories as "throwing us in Shiloh to the Sharks".

When you settled in Shiloh, you knew that those were occupied territories, that would be given back in the framework of a peace agreement.

You were well aware that the israeli military authoritie, who allowed you to settle in this place, could withdraw their permession at any moment.

Why are you whining now?

Nablus is really Shechem, which is mentioned in the Tora (Br./Gen 12:6 and 33:18). Our forefathers lived there and Joseph is buried there. The Romans under the emperor Vespasian called Shechem Neapolis, the new city, and the Arabs, who don't have a "p" changed it to Nablus. Neither the city nor its name are Arabic.

nunu, you aren't listening. Shiloh of today is Biblical Shiloh. It has always been either a Jewish city or empty. Think human rights, civil rights. Why do you deny me mine?

Yes, Hadassa, so true.

Who denies your human rights?

You came there with the permission of israeli military authorities, under the condition that you leave when they tell you to.

Where is the problem?

In no democraty can you build on land that is not yours or without building permit. So if you signed a fucked-up contract with the authority handing out the land, stipulating that you must withdraw when they tell you to, whose fault is it?

You signed this contract knowing what you did (I hope), so why are you whining now?

Or are you claiming that "you did not know", i.e. that you are as stupid as the proverbial "stupid american" and that they sold you Shiloh as a "nice suburb of Tel Aviv"?

By the way, one right-wing hasbara specialist told me that the settlements were made to increase the price-tag for giving up the occupied territories.

I found this cynical and despicable. But I suppose it is true. So you know who duped you: the israeli government that signed those fucked-up contracts with you. And they did it cynically, using you as a human bargaining chip.

It's sad that you fell into the trap. But ultimately, you are responsible for your own decisions.

If you took the decision for religious reasons, at least, you have the benefit of martyrdom for the faith.

nunu, if you had ever read anything on this blog then you'd know where we stand concerning the government. Cut the profanity and the lies and we'll have a discussion with you. Until then, find another venue.

It is a fact that land in the occupied territories is distributed by the military authorities on condition that takers withdraw when they are asked to.

If you live there and don't know, you were duped by your real estate agent.

nunu, we are here to fulfill one of G-d's commandments. While we are well aware of the actions, inactions and plans of the Israeli government and the IDF, our real estate agent is G-d.
