Slow Strangulation

Why is this building freeze different from any other building freeze?

There have been very few new building projects in Judea and Samaria for years.  Many of the larger communities, like Ariel, Efrat and the most veteran of the yishuvim, Ofra, haven't been able to get permits for much needed housing.

Here in Shiloh, all the work, major changes in the entrance of the yishuv and near the store and school were made in preparation for additional classrooms, but now nothing has been built.  The fence you see near the lower bus here is surrounding the building site, but nothing is being built there.

Housing is being worked on in areas previously approved for homes.

As in many communities, there are "caravan neighborhoods."

They may not be dream homes, but for people who have no choice or aren't ready for various reasons to buy, they are perfect.

Successive Israeli Governments have been trying to limit/restrict/strangle the growth of Jewish Life in Judea and Samaria.  Strangulation could cause death, but it can also be reversed.  It must be reversed!

Every time the Likud comes to power, there are great expectations and greater disappointments.  That's why I don't vote Likud.
