JIB?

Jewish Israeli Blogs

I'm afraid of deja vu. Last year all of my blogs came in dead last in every category nominated in the JIB Awards. So, as you may expect, I'm sort of ambivalent about it all.

Will I be embarrassed again? Maybe I should just ignore the entire business? Or just not take it seriously. Well, if I'm nominated, please let me know, but...

Personally I have been indirectly involved in one such Awards contest. (maybe more soon?) I was promoting a friend who, as all, still does not know my true identity. (No one does, though some hackers try.)

Awards are fun when they are fun and the psychology of instantly becoming part of a community by voting has an attraction too for the "outsiders" such as myself.

I am a bit taken aback that You find a nomination yet far too few cheers. I love your blog, it is fantastic. Having read many many weblogs, Jewish and otherwise, You have a poise and style all of Your Own and that is why I read Yours.

The determined attitude that You possess is an inspiration especially when one realizes the tremendous and callous forces that surround the Nation of Israel.

Your humor knocks me out. (paraphrase): "...Did you hear that from my students!?!" "Hey Yoshi, nice to hear from you..." "Fitness walks."

I am laughing and smiling now just reading those quips! (even when I return to edit this comment I am laughing with joy.)

And You are truly a teacher. I learn much reading Shilohmusings. You're a Peach. So don't sweat the small stuff!

AND HERE IS ONE BIG VOTE FOR YOU BATYA AND YOUR WEBLOG. A VOTE THAT WILL NOT CHANGE.

Thanks so much. Last year I really obsessed about it, constantly checking and asking people to vote for me. And it got me, dead last.
So this year, I'm much much busier, and more well-known. and whatever happens...
maybe someone will let me know.

Why do you have so many blogs? It seems each has it's niche, but shouldn't you consolidate?

there are people who read me-ander who wouldn't if it was with the politics. And I like to keep Shiloh Musings all original, and Blog Free! is for more news and other people's writing, and I also have a picture blog...
